Emergency responders rush to the scene of a major accident in Palmview Tuesday night.
At least nine people are reported dead, and police believe the death toll is expected to rise.
The accident happened just after 10:35 p.m. on Minnesota Road heading east bound on Expressway 83 frontage road.
One man who witnessed the crash told Action 4 News once the van lost control “bodies just started flying out” of the van.
Sources told Action 4 News the U.S. Border Patrol and Palmview Police were conducting a routine traffic stop on Green Road when the driver of a van suddenly took off.
The eyewitness told Action 4 News the unidentified driver sped off swerving, narrowly missing vehicles on the frontage road.
The driver then reportedly slammed into a ramp on the frontage road, a trashcan and reportedly flipped three times.
Palmview Police Investigator Lenny Sanchez said 20 people were inside the van at the time of the crash.
At midnight, at least 9 were reported dead and at least one person was detained.
At least six others were taken to a local hospital including two critically injured.
Police confirm at least three survived, but managed to get away.
Palmview police told Action 4 News they have shut down portion of Expressway 83 and the frontage road in effort to reconstruct the accident.
The fatal accident happened one day after a fatal rollover accident that left one illegal immigrant dead and several injured in La Joya.
Mexico has socialized medecine and, at this point in time, very low unemployment combined with a bright economic outlook.
You don’t know squat. Those people could very easily be criminals deported from the U.S. and now returning to committ more crimes.
The male driver was reportedly in critical condition and was heavily guarded by U.S. Border Patrol agents at the hospital.

I agree. I want the invasion to stop, but I don’t wish ill on anyone. I do want illegals sent back home.
I wish Mexico could be improved so that we don’t have a flood of people looking for a better life.
Our food stamp president just lost a bunch of voters that might have voted for him several times over.
