From what it sounds like here, Corey could be a future Attorney General candidate.

I agree. She should give a status update and then decline comment.

It is up to her unless his defense atty asks for a change of venue then it is up to the judge whether to grant it or not.

NOTE TO TOURISTS: if you wife or children are attacked while visiting Florida; make sure they don't resist. You could be charged with MURDER if you try to defend them.

It might be better to vacation somewhere a little bit safer...

This prosecutor is very well respected in the world of law enforcement.

I don't give a damn about law enforcement constantly patting each other on the backs, and complementing each other, as our streets are crawling with millions of illegal aliens, creating epic crime and fraud, as they routinely release real violent criminals out into the streets, supply Mexican gangs with weapons, etc., etc..

Special prosecutor Angela Corey is a disgusting arrogant individual, who was gleeful for the face time, as she spoke to the nation like they were 3rd grade children. This woman is clearly more interested in her career, bending to political pressure and appeasing the black racist, than justice.

This was one of the most unbelievable news conferences I have ever witnessed.

“The press conference is going on and this woman is sooo proud of her self. She is reveling in the event. Very sick!”

I saw the same thing. Yet this gutless female worm refuses to call a grand jury to prosecute the racist black panthers who are bellowing for a lynching. We have no leadership in Florida. Whatta bitch.

She has emboldened the black racists in Florida. If Florida burns in race riots, I hope the people call for a grand jury to indict her for sedition and murder.

Right, again it’s a judge who decides in the end.

And you can stuff that “she’s respected” crap. So we heard about Nifong.

That smarmy “Oscar” speech along with her admitting to praying with Martin’s parents TWO weeks ago when she got the case tells me she has NADA. Nothing more than we know.
Which is what? Not much.

She says that Seminole COunty WILL be the trial venue, in spite of all the jury tampering done by the media and race baters...

Unless a judge says otherwise. If I'm Zimmerman, I want this in the panhandle outside of Gadsden County.

I’ve said all along, where is the justice for George Zimmerman? This is not going to end well.

Id like to know how many blacks were murdered by other blacks in the last few weeks, ya know, the ones that the media never discusses or gives a damn about. What I have learned this past month, if your black and you murder a white person, its Ok..if your black and you murder another black person, its Ok too..sad that is what I have had to learn this past month but its true

If Zimmerman is charged with 2nd-degree murder, can a jury still decide to find him guilty of a lesser charge such as manslaughter?

In many states and jurisdictions, yes.

I heard her say it twice and also the cutesie little “sweet parents” So much for a tough minded prosecutor. What a sorry display of unprofessionalism, not to mention getting to the point without all CYA crapola in the first several minutes.

The thing is, do this stupid politicans not realize that they will riot either way? If Zimmerman is fond not guilty they will riot, if he is convicted they will riot as well.

I am still waiting for charges to be filed against the black panthers re: the bounty. That was so blatant. Why no charges?

That is my interpretation of the law, and it’s not a controversial one (I am a lawyer, but not a Florida lawyer).

Zimmerman clearly committed an act that, in the absence of some legal justification, constitutes second-degree murder in Florida. The only issue in the case, then, is whether Zimmerman was legally justified. That’s something that has been debated endlessly, and will continue to be debated some more. But what is not up for debate is whether, in the absence of justification (e.g., self-defense), Zimmerman’s act satisfies the remaining elements of murder.

I don’t know that black thugs are protected, but I do question re-writing self-defense laws just because Trayvon Martin got shot.

Anyway, the outcome of this trial is irrelevant, since people will still carry guns and they will still protect themselves. People are not stupid. They do not want to be happy victims. So unless the government is going to put a cop on every corner, we will keep carrying.

That goodness not all lawyers agree with you. Mark Levin, for example. I’d take his opinion over yours any day.

She is a non apologetic Christian and prays alot from what I understand. Remember, she represents the victim and was doing so two weeks ago when she met the parents before the charges were pressed. And..she knows alot we do not know. We will just have to wait and see.....btw....I like your screen name.

This prosecutor is very well respected in the world of law enforcement.

Not a big positive with me, but I'll fully admit a pro-defense bias (not strictly to this case). The favorite prosecutors with law enforcement around here are those who overcharge and then plea to a felony. (Or charge the felony and plea to high misdemeanor.)

You and I both know she knows alot we do not know. She took her time in bringing charges for a good reason. She had to know she had everything she needed to prove the charges she was bringing. We need to wait and see what evidence she has.

That's why I qualified my statement. I HOPE she's charging based on evidence we don't know. I'm not going to say she is or isn't until we see this in trial.
