Andre is shown seated at a desk inside a classroom as a staff member asks him several times to remove his coat. He stays still, apparently not responding or removing his coat

He should have maybe removed the coat.

That is disgusting! That boy should have every red cent that place has and then some! Terrorists can’t be waterboarded but they do this to a kid?! I don’t care how bad the kid is, you don’t do that.

Freaking unbelievable!

I guess my standard for “torture” is different. If you’re in a jail, a mental institution, police custody, or similar legal situation and you’re not being a good little girl or boy, you’re going to experience some unpleasantness. I don’t condone sadism or violent retaliation but if it’s done according to policies and is necessary, I have no problem with it.

Is it “torture” to be robbed at gunpoint? To be raped? All these happen to actual victims. A person getting shocked and restrained for out-of-control behavior is not a victim.

Where is the father? My bet would be that the mother kicked the boys father out which resulted in a kid with issues that would have been easily dealt with by the father. You see this all the time with families headed by single mothers, the kids grow up with no respect for authority. Then she, way too late, places him in some liberal center to be tortured into compliance simply because she can’t handle him and is now looking for a pay out. Pathetic, its no wonder that most hardened criminals come from families headed by a single mother, you get what you sow.
