Is an Obama dictatorship in the air?

SNIP

If polls indicate that Obama is going to win the upcoming election, no problem. He’ll keep flashing that fake Barry Obama grin until Nov. 7, then move swiftly to begin unleashing a dictatorial full monty – consisting of more regulations, higher taxes and less freedom – that will shock all but his staunchest Marxist allies.

Nothing will be off limits – a national police force, instant citizenship for all Third World people who want to come to America, forced equalization of income (except for Obama’s wealthy supporters), widespread use of tax audits to carry out vendettas against enemies of his administration, a virtual end to oil drilling, coal mining and gas exploration, suspension of habeas corpus, a new sedition act that will make it a crime to speak out against the government, the police, or the military … and much, much more.

On the other hand, two or three months before the election, if the polls clearly show that Obama is going to go down in defeat, I believe there’s better than a 50-50 chance of a major “emergency” coincidentally making its appearance, convincingly manufactured in such a way as to cause the average entitlement junkie to agree that we must rally around the president and “postpone” the November elections.

Americans who find it difficult to break free of their normalcy bias should think about F. A. Hayek’s explanation, in “The Road to Serfdom,” of how countries travel the road leading from democracy to dictatorship:

"Hitler did not have to destroy democracy; he merely took advantage of the decay of democracy and at the critical moment obtained the support of many to whom, though they detested Hitler, he yet seemed the only man strong enough to get things done."

I have been saying this for over two years. I believe he will get a race war going, suspend the Constitution and declare himself the leader we need in these trying times.

I have been called every nasty name from “idiot” to “tin foil”. Join me.

That is why he is so easy going/confident lately.

Race war, class war, war between women and men. He may even start a war with Iran and declare a national emergency. I look to Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot to get a gauge on what 0bama might do now and after.

We’ve witnessed things that in the past were unthinkable before 2008.

I put NOTHING past this cabal.

The only way would be if he gets elected for a second term and then declares elections over until things get under control, his control. If he goes for a continued presidency then .....

I have heard several hard core leftists say that they wish
he could simply dictate and not have to bother with all of
the “hate” and “partisanship” that is keeping him from doing
what they think is right. They seem incredibly naive to
think that absolute control is a good thing. I can think of
no one who I would allow to have such power.

Obama is finishing the job of concentrating federal power that FDR started, and LBJ propagated. Maybe the marxists in fedgov monster see an opportunity to seize more power, and are going for it.

Oh for cripes sake, can people give this a rest? Dictator Obama? Most he'd ever dictate is taking yet another month long vacation or yet another mid week party. He is the laziest pres(id)ent ever. And seriously, who in Washington will cede their power to him? No one will.

I'm sick and tired of this stupid strawman to try to make the liberal Romney seem appealing. Name one thing Obama has worked for in his entire life - you can't. He even had to be dragged on the campaign trail. Romney on the other hand worked hard to be the governor of a liberal state, worked hard to gather all the credit for the Olympics, and has worked everyday for six years for this run at the White House. He even worked hard at the same time to join the Quorum of the 70 in the LDS church.

Romney will doom this nation. Period. The GOP takeover by the liberals will be complete, and we'll spend four years tearing out our hair as liberal agenda item after agenda item will be ticked off the list, just like Romney did in MA.

I will never vote for Romney. My vote belongs to me, not a party.

They seem incredibly naive to think that absolute control is a good thing. I can think of no one who I would allow to have such power.

Inside every socialist lives a latent tyrant.

Tyranny is a requisite corellary to socialism. It precedes from a presumption of superiority and, thus, the ability to make decisions for others. However, often those others don't subscribe to the presumption.

Therefore, it follows that coercion will be a necessary component of the process.

If you observe closely, you will discover that every committed leftist would be comfortable with a dictatorship -- so long as it is "their guy", of course.

"Consent of the governed" has no meaning to such people.

We can't ALL be wrong (although this time I hope and pray I am wrong)!

Snip of last paragraph in the article:
This is an important issue, because I continue to believe that if a dictatorship starts to emerge (many would argue that it already has), it may ultimately get down to a question of whether, at the moment of truth, the military will take orders from Barack Obama or, instead, side with American citizens.

This was what I thought in the first paragraph.

Race war or not, he is angling to impose himself as dictator. They just seem to be too sure of his re-election for them not to have something up their sleeve. If it’s race war, bring it on.

I truly believe he can do anything he wants to do. If there was a freshman congressman who wanted to try to do something about it the GOP “leadership” would shut him up. The elites are calling the shots. And they come from both parties.

Except, of course, Jesus. His coming seems to be sooner than we think. He will rule with a rod of iron, but knows exactly what is right and best. Come LORD Jesus!
