Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

““Again, one cannot vote for a lib and remain conservative no matter how many leftist Alynski tactics they bring out to spin it.””

I am debating a child. Pointless and a waste of time. You should be ashamed of yourself. If this is the best you can do then join the left because you would fit right in.

I’m done

Can I vote for someone like that? Not as a first choice, but at this point my only alternative is Romney or going third-party, and those aren't choices I want to make since they're conceding the 2012 election to Obama.

I'm conceding the election to God. I anticipate voting for the Constitution Party.

Of course, we can and probably will agree to disagree. I have a group of Ron Paul supporters in my own church who I have argued against regularly, and that doesn't mean I think they're bad people; I just think they're wrong.

I like Ron Paul and I was going to vote for him but he equivocated on abortion. Abortion is the biggest security, economic and social threat in history, not to mention spiritual. And our party and country are hiding our faces from it. I would say that it makes us vulnerable to God's curse but I think it is God's curse. Every thing else is a deck chair issue.

I agree with that too. You have never ever heard me say one thing positive about Romney, not here or anywhere.

It is a fallacy to think if something is not as bad as something else then it must be good.

All it is less bad. Maybe very bad but still less.

All I said is that I would chose to vote for the less bad IF I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE rather than vote for the MOST BAD. By voting this way only does one thing. It gives one less vote to the MOST BAD. It does not change the fact that I do not like not trust Romney, only the I dislike obummer and trust him less.

It is all relative.

And we as Conservatives should be ASHAMED that we are 7 months out from a huge election with nothing that even looks Conservative.

I am ashamed. We did the same thing McCain and we are doing it again.

And we wonder why they laugh at us.

Perhaps if we can get the convention brokered and get Newt back in with a monumental groundswell of support, then we might have reason to be somewhat hopeful. Until then, not so much. Not good is it

No, that is not all that you said. You also said that we could tell what 0bama would do by his record and you said we could not tell what Romney would do by his record.

No, the time for all those jerks to go over to Romney, if ever, would have been AFTER THE PRIMARIES ARE OVER AND ALL THE STATES HAVE HAD THEIR SAY AND WHEN AND IF ROMNEY ACTUALLY WERE TO BE NOMINATED.

Not while we still have an ex-speaker of the house and conservative Republican still fighting you Romneybots.

AND NOT A MINUTE BEFORE.

I can respect that, Theophilus.

I'm not prepared to give up on the Republican Party. The Constitution Party is the best of the major “third parties” out there and probably the only viable option for conservative Christians who believe the Republican Party is no longer an option. The Libertarians and the Greens are not choices that are realistic for frustrated pro-life Republicans, but I would not be surprised to see a number of Ron Paul people end up in the Libertarian Party, which is where they probably should have started anyway.

The problem is a vote for the Constitution Party in 2012 is probably a vote that will help re-elect Obama. For people who live in a state where the Republicans have no chance this fall or where the Republicans will win by a large margin, voting for the Constitution Party may make sense.

I can't say that in close states, especially not before the nominee has been decided. But for those who can't in good conscience vote Republican, that's probably the only other choice.

I will not, can not, vote for Romney. I agree that voting for him is agreeing with abortion, the killing of innocent babies.
That is worshiping one self and sacrificing a life for one self.

It is called Idolatry.

Romney is "winning" by out advertising the opponents in high population, but decidedly liberal, counties. He is "winning" like a democrat. And when the progressive liberal Romney with an "R" behind his name goes head to head with the progressive liberal Obama with a "D" behind his name ...

I simply do not agree that Mitt Romney can be characterized as a "liberal."

The very best that we can reasonably hope to be elected as president, in any general election, is a center-right candidate, sauch as the late Ronald Reagan.

Not hard right.

But center-right.

[Mitt Romney] will lose.

That strikes me as a mere sentiment--not serious analysis.

For truly serious analysis, one might look to, say, the musings of Larry Sabato; Charlie Cook; Stu Rothenberg; Scott Rasmussen; or even Dick Morris.

So ... if ever there was a time to seed a 3rd party, give it a base, redirect RNC funding to it, and build a contender for future elections ... this is it.

Frankly, I harbor no desire for a third party.

In any case, your plan seems to require the sacrifice of the 2012 presidential election, in the (rather fatuous) hope that this sacrifice might help "build a contender for future elections."

And this represents precisely the sort of Big Picture mindset that I find most unfortunate...

There is no downside and nothing to lose because there is no victory to be had this go round.

Again, I disagree.

Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are nothing at all alike as regarding their respective approaches to (1) the illegal invasion of the Southwest (a.k.a. "illegal immigration"); (2) our nation's close relationship with Israel; (3) the preferable approach to Iran; (4) the need to drill for oil domestically; or (5) America's proper place in the world--just to name a few.

I believe that those who see America in terms of constitutionalists versus anti-constitutionalists are missing the point. Quite badly.

The real dichotomy, it seems to me, is between liberals and conservatives.

Well said. Principals matter.

I just posted this on another thread but the Wisdom of a great American bears repeating:
“I would rather be beaten and be a man than to be elected and be a little puppy dog. I have always supported measures and principles and not men. I have acted fearlessly and independent and I never will regret my course. I would rather be politically buried than to be hypocritically immortalized. “

I tend to give folks the benefit of the doubt but your posts claiming to be a great and all knowing professional with 21 years of experience while a few post later saying you are done talking but then showing your lazy ass up again a few posts later are a real insight is to why a so called conservative party seemingly soon will nominate a liberal for POTUS.

You folks are arrogant bastards with no core values playing a fools game that only benefits your own pocketbook I suspect..

The gentleman running this site has made his point clear yet the “professional” ignores what he has plainly stated.
In my view ass wipes taking credit for participating in a system for more than a generation that has only produced liberal candidate's has little of value to say on the only conservative website out there that puts principle first.

I'd hope you would have the grace to haul your sorry ass out of here, but I know you wont as you are a “professional” here to instruct the ignorant conservative stupid enough to believe principles mean something..

To: Jim Robinson; All
...All experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such .... and to provide new Guards for their future security

This is true of a party as much as a government, and that is what this rebellion of non-support for Romney or ANY non-Conservative is about.

We've suffered a train of long abuses from the GOP Ruling Class long enough. Their running a near-clone of Obama and shoving him down all our throats while working to destroy Conservatives is despotic treason to our principles. It can no longer be supported, REGARDLESS of the inane and false argument that not voting for Romney will destroy the country. The GOP Ruling Class chose to destroy the country and ensure Obama's re-election by running Romney in the first place.

It's interesting that the nature of man has not changed, and men are willing to suffer evil, while it is sufferable than right themselves and throw off the shackles that enslave them.

We need new guards for our nation and our principles and we can no longer do that within the Republican Party or with this nominee they have foisted upon us.

I think it is just as true that a vote for Romney anywhere/anytime is a vote that will help re-elect Obama. Unless God has a surprise in store for us, Pharaoh will continue to be raised up.

It's an interesting sensation to hear the empty campaign news knowing it's utterly irrelevant.

Same with Obama then. You can’t say he shouldn’t be President because we know what he’ll do. You own statement says that you don’t know what he’ll do.
