In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

I agree about Cain, and I’m not so sure about Thompson, either (although I did waste my primary vote on him 4 years ago - mailed it a couple of days before he dropped out.) Since Palin was only a VP candidate, my count is 0.
I have no idea of your point....death lasts a long time, I can put up with Romney (not my choice {Gingrich} ) and I will back him 100% because this country cannot survive another Obama administration. I agree with what you say, but if you don’t vote for whoever runs against Obama, who benefits? Obama or the other guy? And if Obama benefits, then you have supported Obama with your non-vote.

The Obamathugs have begun in earnest. The Drudge headlines tonight include one from the Obama camp saying “Ann Romney never worked a day in her life.” The bashing begins in earnest. Ann Romney responds saying she raised five children. Next will come the separation of the working woman (who also has children to raise but puts them in daycare or works at home) and Ann Romney who could afford to stay home and raise five children. We all know what’s coming.

I did not vote for Romney in the primary. I think he’s evil. He’s everything Jim says he is. I have never supported a RINO in any Presidential primary or for any lower office.
Thing is: Obama WILL destroy the U.S. if given another term; Romney will merely govern badly.
I don’t see how it is prudent or virtuous to refuse to vote at all when a RINO is the only alternative to a Communist.

Behold the administrations of past RINOs - Nixon gave us the EPA and disgraced the presidency, Ford begat the Jimmuh mess, Bush Sr. gave us 8 years of Clinton and Bush Jr. gave us Bama. The voters think they represent the Republican party (well don't they) and are disillusioned. If the GOP isn't going to rebrand itself we need another party.

Romney’s record speaks for itself. He has supported virtually everything I’m against. I still can’t believe the Republican party has nominated him....HE’S A LIBERAL! WTF?!?!?
I’m seriously unsure whether I’m going to be able to show up and vote for him, even for voting against 0bama, as I did in voting ‘for’ McCain.
Romney’s nomination is also going to put a SERIOUS hurting on all ‘down ballot’ republicans. They can forget picking up the Senate. Hopefully they got far enough ahead in 2010 to hold the House. I just hope that the conservative SCOTUS Justices have at least 4 more years of good health left in them.

After a good deal of thought, I’ve decided that I will vote for Romney. In MY view, as bad as Romney is, he isn’t an American hating Marxist like our current resident in the Oval Office. I’m simply going to play the hand that has been dealt, and deal with the reality that Romney will be the nominee.
In MY view, we won’t survive four (heck two more years) of Obama. In MY view, at least with Romney we have a chance. I know this rationale pi$$es many off because they see it as caving or as setting up a straw-man. I (many of us) see it as dealing with reality of a very bad situation and making the best choice we can.
Just my 2 cents.
Newt just has to win about 55% of the delegates in the upcoming 20 states to deny Romney the 1,144 delegates needed to secure the nomination. This is doable if conservatives consolidate around him now, because there were ONLY 3 OUT OF 30 states so far where Romney got 50% or more of the vote (where all the candidates were on the ballot). Everybody needs to stop listening to the GOP-e media pundits on FOX and RINO radio and realize that this nomination is still up to you, the voters!

That is the point, the establishment backing Romney from the start was a loser strategy- almost as if it were planned. Romney can’t win, I don’t think it’ll be close at this point.
His record in Massataxes is far too liberal for the GOP base and his “image” is right out of central casting for the evil white Wall Street elitist.
Do you think “Occupy Wall Street” was an accident? They KNEW that Romney was the GOP-annointed way back then. It doesn’t matter than the real Wall Street is going to give Barry his billion, the narrative has been written.

There are so many of us in this country feeling the same exact way. I can't stand Romney but I am scared to death of Obama getting another term with nothing to lose.
We have nowhere to turn. I understand the venom for Romney and the RNC. I feel that venom too. (How the hell can a true Morman be pro-abortion and gay marriage?? He is a phony!) But my choices are limited and I can't live with myself for staying home on election day. I doubt JimRob and the rest understand what a corner we are backed into.
