Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton told the TODAY show Thursday that she believes her son’s fatal shooting by George Zimmerman was an accident.

“I believe it was an accident, I believe that it just got out of control and he couldn’t turn the clock back," she said.

According to Florida law, now that there was an arrest she can start suing. She made it clear that all she wanted was an arrest, she didn't mention justice in the press conference.

Now the bucks can start flowing.

I’m thinking the parents are finding out what really happened are changing their tune. A little late, after releasing the race baiting, whitey hating, hounds.

Hey, if she is starting to walk it back to the truth, DON’T MAKE MATTERS WORSE.

A man’s freedom is at stake.

Trayvon Martin: thug, political pawn and now cash cow.

Such a wonderful legacy.

Here's what I now believe... the prosecutor/ state has met with the Martin family, sharing all they know of the evidence, and of course they have truthful testimony from Zimmerman by way of a lie detector assisted confession. That evidence shows that Trayvon was the aggressor, was belligerent, and did threaten the life and limb of Z, and likely shows there was struggle for the gun.

Background evidence:

I believe a deal has been worked out between the Martin family, the prosecutor and Z. Have you noticed that the mother has recently said, that what she really wanted was an arrest of Z... not that she was pushing for a guilty verdict regardless of guilt. They all know now what went down, and they all know the propensity of T pushing the envelope, testing out his growing taste for thuggish behavior in newly actualized adult, brutish body.

Z likely is remorseful, and wishes things had not gone down the way they did, but still, he is left with the proposition, that it was either himself or T that would die that night, and justifiable homicide is everybody's conclusion. T's family knows, they knew the path he was choosing, they knew if he didn't get back to the straight and narrow, he would either wind up dead or going to jail for killing someone, they knew.

I think many people are praying for the parents of Trayvon and also for George Zimmerman and his family.

The story is indeed tragic.

She just handed the defense a HUGE gift.Don’t know whether she realizes that or not.For that matter I don’t know if she might have *intended* to that.A tape of that comment will be played by the defense in their closing argument. In fact,it could even cause the prosecutor to refrain from bring this to trial. It’s *that* big.

Sounds like a call for dismissal...Which would make me think he was "skittled" out of his mind...and had a knife and his fists were bruised etc etc.

I never knew skittles were s street name for drugs. Thanks...because I'll listen for it among the kids I know. (My grandchildren)

I shot a Kel-Tec pistol that fired a 5.56 round. Can’t remember the model name, but damn, what a loud gun.

So, now that the state has brought 2nd degree murder charges, it was all an accident.

I don’t know who looks more stupid here. The race baiters or the state, who brought these charges out of fear of the race baiters.

What a mess. I suppose the charges should now be dropped. Maybe they will be.

I blame the racism on the President. Not on this aggrieved mother. Wasn’t she the one who thought her son was suspended for tardiness? Then she, as well as everybody else in the world, found out that the 17 year old was getting into things he should not have been getting into. Who knows, if he hadn’t been killed, whether he would have continued on that path, or turned things around? In the meanwhile, the undated family photo shows what looks to be a 14 year old with so much potential. Regardless of the outcome of the criminal proceeding, we who are Christians hope that this mother and her son will be reunited in heaven.

Al Sharpton and his goons have been fanning the flames not so much the family, although they have let it happen. It would be wise for them to distance themselves from Sharpton who is solely out to use their sons death for political and personal gain.

I see the same truth in the matter. As a teacher, I see that most parents aren’t aware of their child’s behavior until issues arise at school. This 17 year old thug is like a lot of the thugs in my school - brazenly cocky, but at the first sign of trouble they turn dewy eyed and willowy.
