North Korea said Wednesday that the fuelling of a long-range rocket is under way, ahead of the launch scheduled for later this week despite international protests.

"We are injecting fuel as we speak. It has started," Paek Chang-Ho, director of the satellite control centre on the outskirts of the capital Pyongyang, told visiting foreign journalists.

I’d say so. I don’t think they can unload the fuel and back down. Good shooting guys!

Why am I picturing a powerful laser from space or the nose of a high flying aircraft focused on the fueling line?

Probably can’t be done, but if they have an accident while fueling I can guarantee one will be photoshopped into the NorKs news feed within minutes to explain how it burned on the pad.

It will be interesting to hear Obama’s comment in the event Japan knocks this missile down, now that he's eviscerated our own SDI program.

The USA could have an Aegis ship equipped with SM-3s that reach out and touch someone!

You know, fueling is a dangerous operation, and accidents happen. There was a time that such accidents would happen because it was the best thing for humanity.

Maybe they were arranged by freedom loving nations, maybe they were acts of God. Just sayin'

I would find it hard to find any sympathy if an accident were to happen during the fueling.

if an accident were to happen during the fueling

Yeah, that would be real sad, wouldn't it?

What’s the over/under on how high it lifts off before blowing up??? I’ll take 25000 feet for a buck.
