Gingrich 'Probably' Won't Take Romney Administration Job.
National Journal ^ | April 12, 2012 | Lindsey Boerma

Asked the question in an interview with local radio station WILM at the Hollywood Diner, Gingrich, one of three contenders left in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, said he wouldn’t be interested in joining likely nominee Romney’s Cabinet, but added—“not because I am opposed to Mitt.”

“Look, if the choice does end up being Romney versus [President] Obama, I can be very, very enthusiastic for Romney; that is a huge choice,” the former House speaker said. “But I had a very good life doing a lot of fun things: I’m a grandfather, I’ve got two grandchildren I want to spend time with, Callista has got me into being a really bad golfer. I would like to move up from bad to mediocre.”

“I think now that they’re down to two of us. I think you’re gonna see a lot more clear communication,” Gingrich said. “I’d like to give people the chance to see these are the two major alternatives to Obama and which one is the better alternative and which one, forgetting Obama for a second, which one would be better for America’s future.”

I wouldn’t expect someone with the handle WinMod70 would travel in the same company as the Romney people but you’d be welcome in my group.

“The Freepers who say they support him and will NEVER support Romney are just missing something.”

Or they regard their vote as a sacred trust that cannot be wasted on yet another crypto-lefty. Newt, for all his faults, is a conservative, so I can support his candidacy vigorously, even if sometimes I am not on board with everything he says or does.

But *my* only voice in this contest is my vote, and I won’t raise that voice in support of the Bishop of Kolob. I know what he was doing in MA because our VA law firm got the calls from Christians in MA who were being driven against the wall by his administration.

If disaster befalls us under Obama, do not comfort yourself by trying to blame me for it. Blame all the weasels, quislings, and weaklings leading the Republican party who cannot stomach standing for what is right if it will cost them anything. Blame all your fellow Republicans sitting next to you at work and at church who have so little care for their country they will vote for someone they know nothing about just because someone else said they were “electable.” But don’t blame those of us who will no longer succumb to the ends-justify-the-means reasoning that brought us to this dance. We didn’t “miss” anything. We’ve made this choice because we couldn’t avoid it. Sorry if it displeases you. Well, not really.

“He truly is one of the last conservatives standing...”

He’s the ONLY conservative standing - RuPaul is not a conservative.

“For those who think if they vote for mitt as he will surround himself with your brilliance to keep him on the straight and narrow”

I came to this thread much later in the day, but it was interesting tonight that on Hannity, Sarah Palin said (about Mittens) that she was “sure he’d surround himself with those who are to the right of center and do what’s best for the country”.

Tsk tsk tsk

Tsk, tsk? I said the same thing - because it is OBVIOUS the man is 'dumb as rocks' - he even pays people now to do his thinking. And I'm thrilled to learn it won't be NEWT! Newt won't be there to change his diapers, burb him or stop his stuttering.

And people are voting for him KNOWING he HAS to surround himself to keep him standing. That's because he's an empty suit. I dare say his voters always buy cheaply, they certainly aren't QUALITY shoppers - and they will get what they vote/shop for. Bottom draw shoppers/voters.

Voters are voting for Mitt out of fear - that is GUTLESS! They have NO fight but full of fright. They don't deserve America. They are wusses and media/GOPE hen pecked.

And the stain of voting for mitt doesn't wash out - only 'the cheap' doesn't care!

Those who gave up their values to support him like Rubio and the like - they care MORE about themselves than our country. That's the type voters are counting on - like I said 'cheap' voters. And are UNABLE to think it through, 'bottom of the class' type voters.

Exactly. And blame all the weasels, quislings, and weaklings, and fear-based GUTLESS VOTERS!

GO NEWT!! The Candidate for QUALITY voters who BELIEVES AMERICA DESERVES THE BEST!

Personally, and I know I’ll get some rotten tomatoes here — I don’t feel Sarah has done us any favors throughout this entire thing. Her tepid support for Newt wasn’t ENOUGH!

And I DO feel Newt could also run intellectual circles around her as well.

I mean — I like her, I know she’s conservative, but Newt is a very, very intelligent conservative. There is no comparison.

Try as I might ...I can’t get it up or out or even IN, for Romeny. Sorry. This entire mommywar/dyke war soap opera is making me ill. I’m hoping people get so sick of all the drama between Obama and Rom that they just look at Newt with new eyes, right around June timeframe or so.

I’m with ya on Newt - he’d demolish BHO AND Romney. Let’s pray Perry stays strong on him - think what a Texas win could do!
