Any conservative who wants to work with Romney will have to abandon his core beliefs. Imagine trying to debate the opposition on say, the folly of nationalized health care, when you know full well your opponent is going to throw Romneys support for it right in your face. It's very encouraging to see Newt drawing more distinct lines between him and Romney, the GOP establishment and so-called conservative media. He truly is one of the last conservatives standing...

The thing I can’t figure out is why Romney is on top. I have yet to run into a single person that say Mitt is their guy. Most if not all mention Newt as who they would like to see in the WH. I guess it’s possible that all my acquaintances are conservatives but you’d think I would run into just one enthusiatic Mitt supporter.
