My father had a small business and my mother(RIP) did all the billing while raising four boys.
All that is old is new again, it's the early 70's again, with Obama channeling Betty Freidan, Gloria Steinem, and Molly Yard.
What the heck are they talking about?
You know women are being screwed in this country when gay support Fluke gets a voice to screw women over.
Women keep complaining they never get the right guy but then jump into the gay marriage bandwaggon of demoralization denying themselves quality support for tricferata politics of vanity.
Vote Zero and women might as well put a barrel in their mouth.
Did you notice how quickly aO-Bama put a political corncob in the Rosen’s pie-hole?
Shows his sensitivity to women issues.
Indeed, whoever bore Hillary Rosen should be outraged at the behavior of this typical demented communist liberal brat.
It is not healthy for one’s mind to be around communists.
He did because Zero is running on a woman’s electorate and she blew his cover of screwing the American woman over.
Technically “working” means drawing a paycheck from an external source, so no. That’s always been the distinction, “working mothers” are not “housewives” because one is drawing a paycheck and one isn’t.
Now Rosen’s comment is still stupid. But but the connotations were around long before her.
Ah, get ready for the most vicious presidential election cycle any of us have ever seen. The left and media are going to do anything and everything to keep Hussein in office. Yes, every 4 years people say it will be the nastiest election ever - but this time it really will be worse than anything we’ve ever seen. The left has their black socialist in the office, and the only way they can win is go entirely negative.
When one is employed one receives a paycheck. Working however does not mean one is employed and receiving a paycheck, much work (and life) goes on outside of employment time.
By denotation yes. By connotation not always, and specifically not in this example. Women that get the “working mother” label get it because they have an external paycheck spawning job, women that get the labels “housewife” or “stay at home mother” don’t. Been that way for longer than I’ve been alive, probably longer than you’ve been alive too.
