Same here. My reason for voting will be to move the Stabenow seat to the right.

Exactly...there will be PLENTY of action on the ballot in November...'f' Romney, but don't forget to vote for any conservatives that appear on the ballot...

I voted for a RINO last time; said RINO was determined to lose to Obama and he did. Now you tell me I must vote for the lesser of two evils because you do not have to vote.
Do as I say, not as I do? Guess you can continue to live in another country.

“The Tea Party MIGHT likely vote for you” ..????

THE Taxed Enough Already Party isn’t going anywhere near Mittens. That’s like fire and ice.

Think McCain .....without Palin....because Mitten’s ego won’t stand for a VP choice with more star power.

I could at least admire McCain in his VP choice....willing to subordinate himself. Mittens hasn’t the character McCain has tho.

I'll probably vote for Pete Hoekstra who has some RINO tendencies of his own but he's well to the right of Romney. He's an acceptable compromise, Romney is not.

...”There will be no campaign for Romney on FR!!”
I feel your rage.

It’s an easy stand to take, as Romney is antithetical to just about every political position that we believe in.  But the consequences for this stand shall be severe”...

I am depressed to think that the good people whom I have read and learned from all of these years might end up handing us over to a communist dictatorship because of a short sighted view of our current unprecedented dilemma in the US. You cannot imagine the suffering which will come to you and yours if that happens. I fear that the younger population of FR now is too far removed from the history some of us have lived..Also, from the history we know due to the kind of education we have had, in school and through life’s experiences. God bless FR for the good it has done and God Bless America.

I am just about convinced that even Romney knows he is destined to lose to Obama...that is why he is being nominated by the GOP. No loss for him...he can retire to that $10 million dollar mansion in New Hampshire...the one currently being promoted by the NH media as the next ‘summer White House’. They live in denial ‘round these parts...

I WILL NOT vote for Romney. If Obama is reelected, I will put pressure on my Republican representatives to fight against Obama.
If Romney is elected, I see the end of the conservative movement and/ or influence. IMHO, Romney will work with RINOS in Congress to silence Congressional conservatives elected in 2010.

I will NEVER vote for that pos and I will vote for EVERY Conservative down ballot. The gop/e is guilty of the upcoming gop/e loss and not those of us that have grown tired of the rape by the gop/e. I have been lied to in every election but Reagan's two. I have been disappointed by the gop and their crap for all of my life. This is my line and this is my stand and if it is a last stand before we disappear as the greatest nation ever known to man... so be it... but I will not face my MAKER having supported evil such as romney.

romney not evil? He is responsible for the murder of many innocent babies... that is a fact... his support for abortion and the checks he wrote to those that support abortion and legislation that he pushed were his tools... plus he is a cultist jerk and has offended Conservatives for his entire political career... until he needs us for his dream of world power. FU mitt... NEVER!

Vote for Obama -——> LOSE
Vote for Romney-——> LOSE

No Vote ——————> LOSE NOW, WIN LATER

It is more important to demolish and incinerate the GOPe, remove them from any future role, drive them into the ranks of democrat power circles where they belong and originate from, to purge them, chase them down and rip them to shreds, than it is to defeat a socialist whose policies are doomed to fail.

In my honest opinion, a reawakening of true American values can only occur when the Republican Party is a vanguard of those values.

Should Romney be coronated by the GOPe, I will do everything I can to ensure his defeat in November.

Yes we have civil war within the GOP, of that there can be no denial. Acknowledge this fact, accept it and deal with it by driving the covert liberals out of the GOP. To do otherwise will result in a loss of the values and heritage that made America the greatest nation in human history.

Do not worry, conservatives will still be here in 2016 and the Constitution will still be in place. But the conservatives must lead the GOP, not the GOPe, so that America may continue the greatest human experiment in freedom ever attempted.

Hmm ~ all Romney has to do, if he cares to keep a free and prosperous America, is drop out of the race NOW.

He's the guy you have to convince to 'give a damned", not the voters. Here in Virginia the voters spoke ~ "NO ROMNEY".

It would take the same amount of energy and effort to defeat the RINOs as it would to start a 3rd party. There are remnants of good in the GOP. Capitalize on them and bring forth a new and improved GOP.

Extremely pissed off at the GOPE for pushing O'Romney on us at this point.

I don't know that the GOPe pushed Romney on us unless the way primaries are held pushed him (and McCain and others) on us. As long as state primaries are held with no runoff between the two top vote getters, it will always be possible for several conservative candidates to split the conservative votes and allow a moderate to win.

We'll probably continue to see several more conservative candidates and only one or two moderates in Repubican primaries, and with no runoff the vote splitting among conservatives will hand it to a moderate. - Or maybe some mechanism to pick one conservative candidate to enter the primaries, but that would require that several giant egos and ambitions be reined in and that would be difficult.

The Tea Party needs to show up IN DROVES with signs about getting rid of Obama. My sign would read “THE TEA PARTY SUPPORTS ABORTING OBAMA”. For those of us in the Tea Party, we will be voting ( if we vote) AGAINST Obama, NOT FOR Romney. That should be our national stance. Our signs should NOT support Romney, our signs should be aimed at voting against Obama. That would send a clear signal to the GOPE and Obama. A signal they could clearly see on TV. Seeing those signs throughout an audience would signal to the GOPE how many people MIGHT NOT vote in election day yet underline our hatred of what this fake president has done to our country.

(Personally, I am having a hard time imagining myself reaching for the voting lever to vote for a GOPE Obama Lite)

You said, “If Romney is elected, I see the end of the conservative movement and/ or influence.”

I see this a little differently. I think Romney’s nomination would be the end of the GOP. Conservatism is the only thing that will save this country and we will NEVER take over the GOP. And do we really want to, other than for the infrastructure that’s already in place.

The GOP is a damaged brand. It will NEVER be able to pull independents and moderate democrats, regardless of who the candidate is because the media (and the GOP themselves) have effectively destroyed the brand. “The GOP is rich old farts that care more about money than people.” How do you change that perception with today’s media? I don’t think it’s possible.

We are so much farther into the hole than when Reagan was elected that I don’t believe the GOP/media will ever allow another Reagan on the ticket - if we could find one. We have to take a long-term view and start working NOW at this problem. There is no solution in the 4 or 8 years.

I truly believe that a third party is the only answer - whether that be moving to the Constitution party or creating a new TEA party. Not this election cycle - if you can, support the GOP nominee in the hopes that we get a couple less-liberal Justices on the Supreme Court.

But, start working over the next 4-8 years to replace as many RINOS and democrats/commies in congress as possible with TEA party-types. And, look for/groom a viable presidential candidate that doesn’t look/act like a used car salesman or your old uncle Joe (I’m sure I’ll here about that one) - someone who can actually put two dozen sentences together (without a teleprompter) that makes sense to even some of the morons out there. WE NEED SOMEONE TRUSTWORTHY WHO CAN COMMUNICATE CONSERVATISM AS WELL AS RUSH LIMBAUGH DOES (but without the baggage).

We’re going to lose the next 2-3 presidential elections anyway either to democrats or RINOS (but I guess I’m being redundant here). In either case, we continue the downhill slide to socialism - maybe not as fast with the RINO, but the end result is still destined to be the same.

There are no short-term solutions, short of revolution (and that won’t be quick or painless either).

If conservatives are willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved in a long-term project, we may be able to get our Country back in the next 12 years - if we last that long. (Personally, I’ll be surprised if we have elections this year, but I’m hoping for the best). If we’re not willing to do what needs to be done, then we need to just shut up and quit complaining.

If you have a better plan, I’d love to hear it.

Maybe my rage will have dissapated come Nov. 2.

Mine won't, but I'll still be voting for Romney. To stop Obama from a second term is far more important than any personal pleasure obtained from throwing a hissy fit and wasting my vote because I don't like the party nominee.

That is exactly right.

And the GOP needs to be taught a lesson.

Romney cannot win either way, with or without tea party votes. So the way I see it, it is time to send the GOP (yet another) really strong (and final) message. They have had more than enough time to comprehend that their actions have been disatrous for the party.

You can’t fix stupid ... you can only stay as far away from stupid as you can. That means staying away from the GOP for now. No support, no campaigning, no money. If they wise (and quick), fine. If not, they will perish as they should.

"The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney."

I had totaly forgoten about that.  Man.  F that SOB.  Romney can go to hell.  Romney's surrogates actually threw the election to Obama.  Oh man that is heinous.  And now he needs us to vote for him so that he can play el presidente.  hahahaha!!

The ships goin down folks.  The only thing we can hope for is that Obama does something so egregious during his second term that the congress will have NO CHOICE but to impeach him. (like what hasn't he done that's not egregious. I know)

I’d rather vote for cat litter than Mittens but I would rather eat the cat litter than see Obama re-elected. Also, I would never suggest you or anyone else vote for Mittens. Good people just don’t do that sort of thing, IMO.

How do we vote straight conservative when we don’t have a conservative candidate? Please explain it to me. I’m slow vs wanting to surrender.
