Gingrich's latest endorser believes he can still win it
The Daily Caller ^ | 04/12/2012 | Alexis Levinson

The Republican presidential primary has been pronounced over, but against the odds, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich remains in the race.

Even more improbably, the former speaker is still getting a slow trickle of endorsements from politicians who seem to genuinely believe he has a shot at the White House.

The Daily Caller caught up with the latest politician to endorse Gingrich, Delaware State Senator Dave Lawson, whose endorsement was announced on Wednesday after Rick Santorum dropped out and the vast majority of pundits declared the race at the end.

“The race isn’t over until the votes are counted, and so I don’t believe the race is over,” Lawson told TheDC. “I believe that Speaker Gingrich certainly has a very good crack at this nomination; I believe he certainly has the right attributes to work toward putting this country back on its feet.”

I tell you if the great state of North Carolina goes with Mitt, I will be sad. I have always loved the NC people since they are god fearing, patriotic and sensible people. Texas should send a big heck no to Mitt, the Massachusetts liberal democrat. Everyone now should vote for Newt instead of becoming tired and going with the media pick. We need to get a fight at the convention so the GOP-e knows the base does not want Mitt and wants changes or maybe another candidate.

Lawson is terrific. He’s been there, done that.
He knows Newt can do it because HE himself did it!

GO NEWT!!!

Who's that sitting at the table behind him looking toward the shot, Karl Marx?

I remember when Newt got elected Speaker and ABC news followed this rabid skunk liberal fishing asking all sorts of negative questions about Newt. Of course the guy gave the anti-Newt liberal Message line for line. Newt had to explain to the media children it's was ok for the guy to have a different whacked out view.

Primaries have been open to rats. The GOP convention may be very different. What if romney stands up and gets boo’ed off the stage? Could happen...

Well, he just got another vote next month from me here in West Virginia.

We West Virginians simply detest Obama......We're not real big on "Obama Lite" (Romney) either. He just could win here!

In a related story, a 97 year old soldier was found clinging to his rifle in a cave on Iwo Jima. Dozens on the home island cheered the development, saying he looked pretty healthy, and expressing hope he could push back the American aggressors.
