BC news recently reported that most Americans are cutting back on their vacation plans due to high gas prices and the lagging economy. But the Obamas seem to be oblivious to the issue.
The topic of the First Family’s frequent vacationing is one that a St. Louis TV anchor thought was worth investigating. Larry Conners of KMOV-TV wondered if the Obamas spend an inordinate amount of time vacationing at the expense of the American taxpayer?
This is not exactly a new topic:
The frequency and cost of these the Obama family trips has been covered on the Blaze as recently as December when the First Family’s Hawaiian vacation was reported to cost as much as $4 million dollars.
Last summer the Daily Mail reported that Michelle Obama had already spent up to $10 million dollars on trips to Spain, Vail, and Martha’s Vineyard.
Conners was among a group of local newspeople from around the nation invited to Washington for individual sit-down interviews with the President. Conners covered many topics with Mr. Obama, but his question about the taxpayer funded vacations (and the President’s answer) is worth reviewing:

and that was $48,000 not $24,000- they had to take 2 gulf stream planes at $24 per plane- and that’s NOT including hte cost of secret service protection and accomodations- so the cost was well over $50,000 for just an hour or 2 just to see a freaking play?
ANY decent person would have said ‘Nope- Not gonna spend extravagently while America’s economy is tanking- buit NOT this couple- to htis couple, everyone in america could be broke, and they would still think it was their right to spend and party liek drunken sailors

The reason the Obama and the DNc etc are saying to not mention the wives is because they don’t want Michelle’s extravagant lifestyle talked about during the campaign. They don’t want people to dredge up Michele’s “job” for that hospital that magically appeared after BO was elected senator. They don’t want questions about why she and her husband no longer have their law liscenses-inquiring minds would love for someone to report on this. I’d rather Ann Romney anyday over someone with questionable ethics like the Mooch. They don’t want us going into this, so they have declared wives off limits.

It’s the same thing almost everyday with this guy: Give a speech and travel. That’s all he freakin does day in day out. Talk and travel whether to a fundraiser, to a vacation spot or to check out a new country. Today he’s going to Columbia. Yes this is important. Gotta make sure that cocaine is pure.
