How do you and the others not understand that when you cast a vote for a person, that IS giving them support?
Just admit it. Say “I will support Romney vith my vote.” That’s honest. All the Clintonian word games do not change the fact that to cast a vote for the man is to support the man.
If your vote for Romney is not supporting Romney, then pray tell which other candidate is it supporting? Don’t say “America” because “America” is not on the ballot. Nor is Conservatism.

I saw this on the net today ....
Etch- A- Sketch Romney:
'Shake it up'... and the Massachusetts liberal "to the left" of Ted Kennedy is gone,... .... 'shake it again'... and you get someone who finds it "hard to disagree with" Rush Limbaugh, is "severely" conservative, and Santorum was too "liberal".... ... and then 'shake it once more'.... hoping all of us voters are completely stupid without memories.....

You are damned right it does, but the main thing is getting Obama out, and damn near anyone else in. This buys us time. With a Republican in the WH we have a seat at the table, even if it means conservatives get the table leg. We can raise hell, push for real reform. If Obama wins, we get nothing.
And if your strategy worked, who would replace Romney? He has a huge lead in delegates. Brokered convention? I can hope, but that isn’t the same as planning. I want Newt to hang in there, but I think he’s gone soon, well before the convention. His checks are bouncing, for God’s sake.
I truly fear that with four more years of Obama we will, with utter finality, pass the tipping point. When the bloodsuckers outnumber the producers by enough, then there is no going back ever, short of societal collapse and/or revolution. I have three children, and I don’t want that for them.
Defeat Obama, then fight the next, inevitable battle with RINOS like Romney.
To: Newt 2012
considering that Sarah has said she will support the nominee, it's clear that you don't speak for Sarah. Did you even bother to listen to Sarah's CPAC speech? How dare you call yourself "Newt 2012"? You obviously haven't the first clue of what we're talking about here.

Because Obama is destroying the country at every opportunity. He’s throw Israel under the bus. He is the biggest danger to the US constitution ever. The US will not be the same place after 4 more years of unchecked Obama, it is unthinkable that we will have to deal with more of his BS. I will vote Romney over Obama because Im a man of logic and reason and think with a conservative house and senate he could be steered much easier than the muslim there now. Obama is destroying the US military and NASA and that is personal for me. Im voting ABO and it is what it is.

I want Newt to hang in there, but I think hes gone soon, well before the convention. Why is it that you can't see that you're creating that very eventuality by supporting Mitt Romney? You're rolling over for the wrong --- don't you get it?
All we have to do, is hang tough with Newt and deny Romney the required number of delegates to capture the nomination. That's it. We can STILL force a showdown in this contest, but you're going the pragmatic route and throwing in the towel before the fat lady's sung.
For cimininy's sake, man, get a grip. Don't throw away our future for political expediency!

Your choice, but logic and reason have nothing to do with it. Fear does though. Lots of fear. My daughter is USAF. You think you’re alone in military concern? You aren’t. And Romney is no friend of the military. Read up.
The military of G. Washington had a lot more to lose. What did he do when he/his family were threatened? He didn’t ‘vote’ for the lesser evil of the Crown loyalists. He opposed ALL the evil. And FOUNDED the country.

If you read my post you’d see I did not say your vote carries no spiritual consequences. I said you are not going to lose heaven over it if you trust in Christ.
Further since I responded to your post about distorting Scripture verses, I obviously see that people on FR use bible verses. Sometimes they use them out of context, like you.

Romney has succeeded in socialism where the democrats have long failed. Thanks Jim. You've expressed reasons for rejecting Mitt Romney better in this paragraph (1300) than any posted above. I hope others get a chance to read it. Where to go from here? Heck if I know. The assault on private enterprise vs government is a clue.
The money being sucked out of the economy by government is insane. Put half those dollars to work in the private sector and unemployment drops to 4% or less tomorrow. A fuggin crime that nobody from either party says anything about.
Excuse me, but a guy with some business experience should trump a street thug from Chicago who's had three plus years to improve an economy when the thug in question has never held a job besides street-agitator. What's he given: Racial division, class warfare division, gender division, what's left? Zip Code division? FUBO.
Sorry, at this point I could care who we elect- just get rid of the sorry Jack Ass currently in the White House.

I want Obama defeated. I dont care if it is a blind monkey with one hand tied behind his back. Yep, that means, I will be be casting my vote for Mitt Romney, who is not my first choice by far. Sell out. Romney is Obama's illegitimate twin brother, ya moron. And you've been here long enough to know that.

I don't think I will take Scriptural advice from some dingbat who thinks he actually speaks for God and makes political points doing it then tells me I can't use Scripture to make a point which was not political.

How about Jesus would oppose living beyond your means?
Jesus would oppose borrowing enormous sums of money and expecting your kids and grandkids to pay it back.
Jesus would oppose rewarding doctors for viewing living people as a budget item rather than a patient in order to save a few dollars.
Jesus would oppose 54 million abortions when instead there could have been 54 million adoptions.
Jesus would oppose those who think they are righteous and godly to blame the rich for all the problems in their lives they themselves are more responsible for than anyone else.
Jesus would oppose those who instead of being peacemakers, love to pit one group of people against another for their own benefit.

This primary is NOT over, but if he's the nominee, he does NOT get my vote. I'll not be a party to deceit and this choice of a lesser evil. Onyx, you and I are still on the same page, regardless of nominee. Principles matter.

I think we're at one of those pivotal points in our nation's history where the confluence of events demands a showdown. We won't survive the current trajectory, whether the Socialist in the White House is a Democrat or a Republican. Better to reject the loathsome fraud, Romney, and tell the left to Bring It. Let's get this thing over with.

Newt’s $500 check bounced the other day.
I stood up and cheered when Newt nailed John King. I cheered each debate where Newt showed his real ability to cream Obama. I loved those standing O’s.
But Newt’s $500 check bounced the other day.
This means that the Republicans are rejecting him. Not me.
Windflier, I appreciate your cordiality in these last several posts. I think we generally want the same result, but you aren’t as ready as I (unhappily) am to call this primary contest a win for Romney. I will do damn near anything to deny the White House to the Kenyan, even if it means a huge black eye to conservatives. I am ready to go third party, or alternative to the effing Republicans since they haven’t represented me for many years, but not until AFTER we throw Obama out. That is my number 1.
Good night, and God bless you and yours.
