A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:
Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.
I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.
C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.
Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

See, I don’t see that. I don’t see anyone boasting about supporting him or even supporting him period. I think many think he is the lesser of two evils and that o bama has to go.
I cannot even imagine what he would do in a 2nd term. Single payer health care, changing the Supreme Court for a generation, I could go on and on. he is evil. I’m sure not a Romney fan but I sure do despise that Marxist maggot in the WH.

I think that’s largely true. But...
If you abandon your conservatism, and lets face facts, a vote for someone with Romney’s record REQUIRES you to leave your conservatism at the door, means that there are other things that can lead you to another compromise of your principles. Like the joke says, “We already determined what you are, we’re just negotiating price”.
Conservatism, unlike republicanism or liberalism, isn’t something one can discarded as a continence/encumbrance for the crisis du jour. It’s who we are to our core. It’s what defines us.
To abandon it for a vote? Then you may share conservative values, but that’s it. They are what they are and we are what we are. Doesn’t make them Olberman’s ‘worst people in the world’, but there’s nothing ‘good’ about backing anyone with Romney’s record.
I think this thread has about run it’s lifespan. It’s just going in circles. Nobody on FR will know how any other Freeper votes. Many will lie just to get along, many will change their minds before November and maybe by that time Mitt won’t even be the nominee and o bama will be in prison. I can dream can’t I?
What you say is true, and what many have tried to say on these threads.
I was thinking as I read the lines how well it fits the Trayvon/Zimmerman circus.
So basically Palin who said “anyone but Obama” and Bachmann, and Santorum, and Newt and the Tea Party, and Ryan, and Christie, and Rush, and Mark, and Savage etc. etc. etc. and me, we’re all RINO’s because we think Obama is dangerous to the Country the way we know it and love it, we’re RINO’s because we see if Obama wins? the Country the way it’s headed will have more people dependent on it then those who contribute to it, we’re all wrong?

I think that’s a false equivalency.
Besides, Romney has governed as a liberal/moderate but has been running on a conservative platform for 6 years. He has expectations to meet or he’ll be toast in four years.

This thread, and the two others like it should have contained a total of 1 post. In fact this and the 2nd thread should never have been needed.
But every one of these ABO types tha posted did so because Jim’s final word on the subject was not to go unanswered by people with more ego than common sense or manners. They were going to get their opinion in where it was specifically told not to be out of selfish importance.
There is no way to read JR’s post and deny that. He said no support, hundreds went on to tell him why they WOULD support. Then made believe that they didn’t do what they did.

Obviously you haven't been on the receiving end of the "if you don't vote, you're voting for Obama" attacks.

I can't count the times that charge has been leveled against those of us who stand by OUR beliefs.
I will vote downticket, but I will NOT vote for Romney if he is foisted on us as a candidate.

Additionally, another item to note is that if you let the GOP-e treat you like sheep, you will always be sheep to them.
