After Zimmerman Arrest, Activists Look To Gun Laws
National Public Radio / The Associated Press ^ | April 13, 2012

The civil rights groups that turned outrage over Trayvon Martin's death into action say their work is far from over now that his killer has been charged with second-degree murder. Next, they hope to harness the activism to challenge Florida's "stand your ground" law and similar statutes in 24 other states.

But they also worry about maintaining their momentum during what could be a long judicial process and translating it into political action that could help sway lawmakers. The leaders plan to use churches, social media and other means to rally the movement that has already prompted protesters to take to the streets in several major cities.

"Arresting Zimmerman is the beginning of the process. This is a first down, not a touchdown," the Rev. Jesse Jackson told The Associated Press this week from Houston...

“Stand Your Ground” laws are bad news for these people—Makes them have to think twice about attacking “Whitey” with impunity.

Gee, I guess ‘Fast & Furious’ didn’t work so let’s try THIS! If the news media swarmed ‘Fast & Furious’ like they have the Zimmerman story we’d have a replacement President and probably not a black race-baiter (& Co.; Holder).

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The whole problem is the dang comma's...
Regardless, all the other bill of rights are about individual rights and so is this one.

Right after using this case as another stick to “wack” down whitey again, the secondary issue is to water-down 2nd Amend rights.

All the usual suspects have marched or stuck their noses in front of the ever-so-obliging LSM...

Stand your ground laws are not “gun laws”. They are self defense laws, whether you use a gun, knife, baseball bat, or your fists. Of course they can’t openly say they are against self defense, even though that’s precisely what they hate.

"Arresting Zimmerman is the beginning of the process. This is a first down, not a touchdown," the Rev. Jesse Jackson told The Associated Press this week from Houston...

So in so many words Jackson is saying "Give him a fair trail and then "Hang him"

White sheets and a hood would fit quiet nicely to the "Just Us" Brothers...

What do you mean, “next”?

No, not really. “The right of the people to keep and bear arms” is an unbroken block, and cannot mean anything other than that the group referred everwhere else in the Constitution as “the people” have the right to keep and bear arms. I don’t care if the rest of the amendment talks about how icky guns are and how weird are people who own them. So long as it says the people have the right to keep and bear arms, it means the people have the right to keep and bear arms. No amount of legerdemain can overcome it.

Yup – beat me to it.

Why is it that those of us who support Liberty and freedom can’t use cases when a life was saved with a gun?

Why is it that the naturally Progression from the left is to diminish freedom every time?

That’s a popular quote, but there’s not a shred of evidence Yamamoto ever said it. Ditto the Hitler quote about Germany’s gun law.

Perhaps Zimmerman is an agent working for Holder.
