Pelosi: Thanks to Romney, "I Feel Better" about Retaking the House
Townhall.com ^ | April 13, 2012 | Erika Johnson

I'd been under the impression that, while the Senate and the presidency are going to be legitimately hot contests, the Republican majority in the House is going to be the least of conservatives' worries. Apparently, however, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi thinks that all of this outrageous outrage over the trumped-up "war on women" is such a powerful demonstration of Mitt Romney's supposed incompetence that President Obama is falling back into the good graces of lady voters everywhere. Err... if you say so...

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Wednesday that strong evidence of a gender-based support disparity between Republicans and Democrats makes her feel "better" about the chances for Democrats to retake the House in November. ...

The war between President Obama and Mitt Romney over female voters intensified this week, with Romney asserting that 92 percent of the jobs lost under Obama were women's jobs, and Obama and the Democratic National Committee firing back that Romney's campaign couldn't even answer whether he supported a major piece of equal-pay legislation.

"I would have said, two months ago, we had a 50-50 chance of winning the House," Pelosi said.

"Since then, so much changed because women have shifted in large measure to the president and to the Democrats," she continued. ...

"If this is an example of how Mitt Romney is going to run for president, I feel sad for the process and country, because either he doesn't know what the facts are or he doesn't care," she said.

The approval rating of the incumbent president is of course an important factor in forecasting Congressional elections, but just logistics-wise, it would take quite the shakeup for Democrats to regain so many of the available seats, and President Obama's approval rating has been all over the place of late: in a recent Gallup poll of twelve swing states, seems that the "Republicans want to ban contraception!"-hooey may have taken its toll, as Romney lost his lead among women voters in those states between February and March; but in a new Fox News poll, Romney is beating President Obama nationally, 46 versus 44 percent. As ever, with that evergreen disclaimer: plenty can change between now and November, and at the end of the day, it really is anyone's game. But be careful not to get cocky there, Ms. Pelosi -- especially with The One instituting an every-Democrat-for-himself approach to collecting campaign cash.

Over 90 percent of those that have lost their job since Obama has been Pres, have been women. And it’s the Republicans that are waging a war on women? This dingbat needs a reality adjustment.

Pelosi the liar has only one consistency - her purpose, her motive, her every waking action are to do the worst thing possible for the country and she has absolutely no qualm or hesitation in lying to achieve this goal. Filter her words through that cloth and she is easy to understand and to predict.

I distinctly recall that just prior to the 2010 mid-terms, Pelousy predicted that the Dems would retain the House.

Are you an Obama troll here?

Looks like our choices are going to be either:

1) Bork Obunga, or

2) Mitt Romney

I would have preferred Herman Cain, but you have only one vote. A no-vote for Romney is a YES vote for Obama. Period. Get it?

Yes, Romney will be attacked for his wealth and whiteness and hairline. Cain wouldn’t have been. He’s black and therefore exempt. Romney is going on the offensive in this article against slimy Eric Holder isn’t he?

But if you can say you’d rather have a Marxist THUG like President Obeyme than a RINO, you need to have your head examined.

Yes, I’ve heard the worn out logic about how “RINOs will tarnish the image of conservatives” and that’s partly true, but do you realize that 4 more years of King Obunga will virtually DESTROY THIS COUNTRY???

So, essentially your ilk are more concerned about RINO-ifying the image of conservatives (which can be corrected later) than the DESTRUCTION OF OUR COUNTRY by the Marxist Thug Narcissist-in-chief?

Please don’t be so stubborn that you cannot understand how much more important it is to oust King Obunga than it is to worry so much about your “pride” by not voting for a RINO.

This is the real world and we don’t always get what we want. You seem to want either a) the perfect candidate or b) a Marxist Thug.

Romney on the top of the ticket is going to depress GOP turnout.

Conservative enthusiasm is going to be nil for POTUS and that may spill over to the other elections also.

I was agreeing with your statement,

“Her reasoning might be incorrect, but her conclusion could be correct”

I didn’t even read what the stupid witch had to say - what difference does it make. The Presidential election is going to be handed to her, and probably the House as well.

Calling Sheriff Arpaio and the Cold Case Posse and law enforcement everywhere. How about digging Piglosi’s dirt after you finish with Zero’s! Then, please dig the dirt on Reid, et al. until all of DC is fumigated and indicted.

The average price of gas in 2006 was $2.36 a gal and Pelosi made a stink of it. After the rats took over and Pelosi took over in January of 2007 the price of gas started to climb until it reached $4.21 per gal and in some areas even more. After President Bush lifted the ban on the Outer Continental Shelf Exploration on July 14, 2008 the price of gas started to fall until it was down to $1.61 per gal and in many areas even lower

Thanks for your support on this. I know so many Freepers will be screwing this country even more than a Romney presidency if they basically vote for Obama by not voting for the alternative.

It’s pretty crystal clear that we’re not getting the optimal Repub candidate, but this is NOT a time to be stubborn and really screw over this country. 4 more years of Eric Holder? 4 more years of Big Sis Kagan? 4 more years of King Narcissus??? UGGGGHHHH!

What are these people thinking when they say Obama is not much different than Romney? If this weren’t Freerepublic, I truly would think these posters are Obama Plants.

A majority of American voters were out to punish the republican majority for acting like democrats. So in 06 they foolishly voted in a majority for this phsyco b!tch to rule over and ruin our economy and even repeated that mistake in the age of Obama the Messiah.

All of the complacent voters I've known in the last few years are truly horrified at the thought of her heinous getting back in any power position.

What’s the difference between Nancy Pelosi and the Panama Canal?

The Panama Canal is a busy ditch.
