Romney is a typical “pro gun” liberal.

He talks a big game to the NRA but if you question him on the details his credibility begins to slip. He will support the most stringent registration possible. He probably supports registered ammo with paperwork to account for target, place, time, and date of use with return of casings as proof. Guys like him are all for gun ownership as long as guns are kept in a public armory and signed in and out at the discretion of the state.

“Romney, the used car salesman of politicians.”

That is a sterotype and completely unfair. Not -all- used car salesmen are under-handed, self serving swindlers.

I’ve known a few who were good people.

Cheers!

This has nothing to do with mountain mormons but the gun grabber Romney.

I apologize. Used car salesmen didn’t deserve being compared to the likes of Mitten Romney. That was cruel and mean.

Accepted. However, I would point out that you have also disparaged used cars. The most broken down, rusted out jalopy still has some value. A pledge from Bishop Willard has none at all.

“...Newt was the only chance we had and it looks bleak...”

I know it was not your intent but please stop speaking of Newt’s campaign in the past tense. It could be construed as subtle propaganda because it is exactly the false notion with which Fox and the rest of the traitors are trying to inculcate us to demoralize us.

We KNOW Newt cannot win enough delegates to be the nominee. The goal is the brokered convention and victory is entirely attainable.

I have not heretofore seen a more deliberate campaign of ommission and journalistic malpractice by Fox News. They set the tonefor the smaller outlets and it is damned well scandalous.

They are afraid and they have reason to be. The imposter they have manufactured is quite vulnerable and Fox is doing everything in its power to make this election go away.

These shameful manipulators are going down in infamy.

We will probably have to elect Romney but can hold him in check

LOL Yeah, John McCain and his sister Lindsey will keep him in check.

A ray of common sense. Most on FR are still working through the stages of grief.

“Why is the NRA even having a gun grabber speak?”

Why did a prominent pro-life group endorse an abortionist?

Why are pro-family groups endorsing the champion of homosexual burlesques of marriage?

Indeed, why?

This nation is being tested, and so far is failing.

Then he should have called for total unrestricted gun ownership. A roll back to around 1800 should do it.

Start with repeal of 1934 NFA

Then repeal 1968 GCA.

Then repeal 1986 FOPA, including the Hughes Amendment.

Gun grabbers in Nazi Germany started by linking firearms to "sporting activities."

The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution of the United States does not say anything about "sporting activities." I have always considered it to be the "enforcement clause" in the Constitution.

I mostly like the way it's written in the Michigan constitution but would like to see sporting included.

The Constitution of the State of Michigan Article 1, Section 6 reads:

Every person has a right to keep and bear arms for the defense of himself and the state.

Its clear enough but the laws don't hold when you consider the fact that many people are denied on the basis of a past criminal record. As far as I'm concerned even former felons have the same right to defend themselves as anyone else. Dangerous felons should be in prison anyway

I think one of Ubama's first acts in a second term will be to sign the United Nations Small Arms Treaty.

And if you say he needs Congressional approval, you have not been paying attention.

I further apologize again.I didn’t mean to insult broken down, rusted out jalopies by bringing them indirectly as comparison to Mittens Romney. That was cruel and mean and they didn’t deserve it.

I don’t have a problem with Catholics. Being evangelical, do I share all of their doctrine? No, or I guess I would be one. Mormonism I have a problem with, however (not the individuals——the faith itself).

There’s nothing rustic, or frontier, or tough about Romney. I bet he has his valet pick up his socks.

Yesterday was the worst example of blatant media manipulation I’ve seen yet. I was watching the NRA speeches on c-span, and saw that Mitt was being telecast on Fox. For the fun of it, I checked when Newt was speaking-—and Fox did not cover Newt’s speech! Then, when they were recapping at length Mitt’s speech, they actually said a few sentences about Santorum’s appearance and then said-—I am NOT making this up-—”Newt Gingrich also spoke.”

At that moment I became a CNN viewer!

One of the most irritating things a politician can do is try to convince me that he's just like me and in Romney's case its just plain insulting. He has nothing more in common with me that Barrack Obama or John Kerry. He can take his perfect Michigan trees and cheesy grits and shove them up his butt.

I live in Montana. There’s lots of Mormons here. Believe me, they hold guns.

They are going to need them during the Tribulation.
