Maher: Rosen Meant To Say Ann Romney Never Got Her Ass To Work (video)

HBO's Bill Maher weighs in on the Hilary Rosen controversy, dismissing it as a "non-consequential," meaningless controversy. Maher also says Ann Romney "has never gotten her ass out of the house to work."

"The language here was, perhaps, inartful, or perhaps America is a society that lives to fight stupid, non-consequential, meaningless controversies and this is the new one," Bill Maher said during the panel portion of his HBO show "Real Time," last night.

"But what she meant to say, I think, was that Ann Romney has never gotten her ass out of the house to work. No one is denying that being a mother is a tough job, I remember that I was a handful. Okay, but there is a big difference in being a mother, and that tough job, and getting your ass out of the door at 7am when it’s cold, having to deal with the boss, being in a workplace, and even if you're unhappy you can’t show it for 8 hours, that is a different kind of tough thing," Maher observed last night.

This is not directed at you and I hope you do not take any offense, but if I wanted to know what Bill Mahr thinks or says then I would watch the show I purposely avoid every week.

What a jerk!!

Getting out the door at 7:00 AM to drive to work for a grouchy boss?

AWWWWWW, poor BABY!

How about getting up at 5:00 AM to make sure that kids and husband have a meal before going out the door at 7:00 AM?

How about staying up all night with a sick kid?

How about dealing with the anger and confusion of a hormonaly rampant 15-year-old?

I could go on and on and on and on.

While we’re at it, when was the last time Bill Maher had to get his sorry blob of a carcas out the door at 7:00 AM to drive through traffic and face a grouchy boss, if ever?

JERK!!

...thus disproving that it was “non-consequential” and furthering the commonly hend perception that the left got its collective (pun intended) azzes handed to them over it.

Thank God for Bill Maher. He's keeping the insult at all women, from the Obama Team, alive.

How about staying up for almost 48 hours straight with multiple children because they're yaking all over the place from the stomach flu and having to run to the store while it's cold outside all the while being unhappy and dog-ass tired yet not being able to show it because you know it's not their fault.

Take a pill, Bill.

I'd like to see you push out a 7 pound lump of humanity out YOUR wazoo!

The way the lefties run these days, you never can tell. He might have already done that and then decided to switch sides.

What this man doesn’t know about women, wives, mothers and children could fill a book.

Ann: I’m glad you didn’t have to go to work on a cold day at 7am. I did for 25 years and it stunk! Bravo for you. And that’s no sarcasm alert.

I take heart in all this. Ann Romney must scare the sh*t out of Obama for some reason.

Hence the orders to the media whores (like Maher) take her out.

“Bill Maher weighs in on the Hilary Rosen controversy, dismissing it as a “non-consequential,”

This is, of course, an admission that it will have consequences.

YEAH. It is different, Mahr.. . you can’t quit, there is no sick leave if you’re under the weather, there is no lunch break or coffee break, dumb people act like you don’t work and coyly look down upon you. I guess it is more similar to running your own company than it is to being an employee.

And, Mahr, you have no idea what you are even talking about because mothers at home are doing more than running a household, they are keeping the community together. They are there for the neighborhood kids whose mothers are at work to provide after school refuge. They run PTAs and volunteer in school classrooms, providing some much needed oversight. They are the engine of things such as scouts and community symphonies and fund drives for different causes and needs.

But the real point is that there is nobody who really KNOWS what it is like to be and do everything. Being a farmer is not like being a stock broker any more than being a working woman is not like being a stay at home mom. Being a secretary is not like being a television journalist with a big pay check. Being a coal miner is not at all like being a Senator. SO WHAT? People have views all the time on lifestyles that are totally foreign to them....WHICH is why government needs to be SMALL...because people should not make all sorts of rules and laws to govern lives of others when they don’t understand what that life entails. To the extent that being a stay at home mom means you should not inform or opine.....well that really makes a solid case for small government.
