Headline only .....
And Karzai thinks he can consolidate his power by kicking us out?
I hate the Taliban, but when that jackass Karzai’s head is on a pole I’ll smile a little.
When I fired up my computer this morning, there was an email from my daughter waiting for me. She had just left Kabul before the attacks started and was back to Bagram Air Field. That’s the last thing a daddy wants to hear.
Unless he hightails it to some sanctuary with his loot, looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life, you won't have long to wait.
Must be the Afghani lunar New Year.

Nation building with 7th Century Islamic savages...what could go wrong?
I understand from my contacts in Kabul that the attack was on the American, Russian, British, Iranian, Turkish and German embassies, and the Afghanistan Parliament. Here are a few cut & paste tidbits from public newspapers in the area.
The militants attacked five-star Kabul Star Hotel in Wazir Akhbar Khan area of the capital and some tried to enter the Afghan parliament but were engaged by security forces and driven back, officials said.
The hotel is located close to American embassy(I think it is the new Marriott under construction across the street from the US embassy), ISAF’s headquarters, Turkish embassy, presidential palace, Iranian embassy and different other diplomatic offices.
According to the eyewitness, suicide bombers had taken over the newly-built hotel, which was reportedly on fire.
At the same time, the Taliban attacked a jail in Northwest Pakistan. A total of 384 prisoners, including some “dangerous” militants, escaped from the jail in Sunday after it was attacked by more than 100 Taliban fighters armed with rockets and automatic weapons.
The prisoners, including 20 dangerous militants, escaped from the central prison in Bannu city after the Taliban fighters fired rockets and lobbed grenades at its main gate at 1.30 am local time, said Mian Iftikhar Hussain, Information Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
Among the dangerous militants who got away were some foreign fighters and Adnan Rashid, who was on death row for involvement in an assassination attempt on former President Pervez Musharraf.
Two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the gates to Jalalabad airport in eastern city of Nangarhar province, wounding several people, police said.
Four bombers tried to enter the airport and two detonated their explosives when they were stopped at the gate, officials said. Two others were wounded and arrested.
Taliban militants also attacked ISAF’s Provincial Reconstruction Team, Or PRT, in Jalalabad. “The battle is going on,” Tolo tv said.
“In Jalalabad, several mujahidin attacked airport and PRT compound. The fighting is going on and our mujahidin are showing very strong resistance,” the Taliban spokesman said.
In Logar province, Taliban militants attacked a police compound, PRT Compound and provincial Intelligence Department.
In Paktia province also, Taliban attacked police Regional Zone Compound, airport, police headquarters and Intelligence Department. “The fighting is going on in all the provinces,” Mujahed said.
According the reports, Taliban also attacked Military Academy Compound in Jalalabad road, District No 9 of Kabul.
Eyewitnesses said still there are shooting around the Academy.
“that jackass Karzais head is on a pole Ill smile a little.”
You mean the ISI spokesman Karzai? He was really pissed when they attacked his brothers drug production facility and took several hundred million dollars worth of his inventory.
The whole situation is laughable if it weren’t that so many real people are being killed and having their lives destroyed in this game... It’s like giant chess game with CIA, ISI, NDS, KGB, MSS, MI6 & Mossad planning the moves!
I know that feeling. Prayers for your daughter and all our troops.....and gratitude for their service to our country.
May they soon be on their way home...all of them.
Thanks, and roger that, jch10.
