Tea Party Movement Looks Stalled; Half Like it Less as they Hear More
ABC ^ | 4/15/12 | Gary Langer

Posted on 04/15/2012 12:33:49 PM PDT by Only Sane Man

Wither the Tea Party?

A major force in the 2010 midterm elections, the movement has stalled in public popularity, its support well below a majority and decidedly lukewarm. And Americans by a broad 23-point margin say the more they hear about the Tea Party movement, the less they like it, rather than liking it more.

That negative buzz has worsened from a 9-point gap in an ABC News/Washington Post poll as the movement was gathering speed two years ago. And its avenues for resurgence may be limited: Interest in learning more about Tea Party is down 7 points from spring 2010....

These views have grown more negative particularly among young adults, seniors, women, moderates and people in the $50,000 to $100,000 income range, all with 10- to 17-point increases in “like it less” responses as they hear more about the Tea Party movement....

There's no denying that the Communist Party Press (ABC included) has done everything in their power to make this true. They have only partially suceeded and their once monopolistic power is gone for good.

The Tea Party is not gone. They rally less, but they have become an army of activists. Many conservative campaigns are swamped with volunteers. This election will be a true test because their job does not end with the defeat of B.O.

If you think the Tea Party is dead, join us at The Rally for Common Sense in Missouri this May 19.

I have stopped listening to their hype and promises.

I think the problem is you expected them to right a ship that has been travelling in the wrong direction for too many years...the course cannot be changed overnight.

The left has ensconced itself in every American institution, controlled childrens education (the most important component), belittled every tradition, and changed the moral compass and fiber of this Country, and has diligently worked for the last 100 or so years to do so.

How can that all be changed in one election?

It can't, we have sooo much work to do....and against all odds to boot.

JMHO

Very interesting. That is how these officials work. Don’t so much stand against. Infiltrate, and change it from within.

Gramsci would be proud.

In case you missed it:

Telephone survey’s of 1000 random adults are worthless unless a news outlet wants to push an agenda.

we must considering the source: (ABC)NNBCBS, "Why should we (the public) believe anything
they 'report'; they've have shown, they're not journalists...
they're Marxist Propagandists."

No other article ever posted on FR impressed me as much as that one. There were others by ACE too. But “Original Sin”. was the best.

You think Newt is crazy, you hate Romney, you post an article like this and you’re new. You won’t last long. You just aren’t smart enough to play concern troll on FR.

Maybe you can tell me one thing the Tea Party guys have accomplished since they took over the House. I honestly don’t see any change.

Everyone needs to understand and remember - nothing happens on TV by accident. Any more, the same for all MSM, everything is subtle propaganda.

Don't know if I saw the particular article you're referencing but I'd love to see them if you have the links handy.

I was thinking about a film I saw called Grinding America Down and the influence Gramsci had in the subject matter, but for some reason I could not recall his name:

Depends whether you mean the Tea Party as a coalition of diverse people concerned about the direction the country is heading, or a TP where ideological purity is required.

They've admittedly scored many who are not familiar with the T-Party. Since it is not an organized party, we've not been active, so this comes as no surprise whatsoever.

Do we know anyone who's abandoned the T-Party. No, but hell or high water we'll be there in November. Affect should be greater than '10, since Obie now has a record.

I think they have changed the conversation, unfortunately we don't have the numbers to make a difference yet.

The TP won an historic election in terms of both State and Federal, those changes can't be reflected in such a short time. We are battling a behemoth in terms of changing a paradigm that has developed over many, many years.

Short of a Constitutional, benevolent dictator, this is going to take a long time. We can't give up because didn't didn't happen in one election.

It's like fixing a clog in a sewer pipe, you have to keep snaking until the sledge is removed....and we got a huge clot of sh!t to plow through.

It’s not all that subtle any more. My daily prayers include a plea to wake us up.
