And.....please when Obama becomes the next “Hitler” after his upcoming re-election....

If Obama could pull a switch and become the next Hitler that easily...WHY in the world would he risk running for reelection now? Why not pull the "evil dictator" switch this year to ensure he can't be voted out? And what would stop him from doing that if Romney wins while he's a lame duck if it's that easy? Yes we all hate Obama and know his policies will cause harm to the country. But it's not that easy to become a dictator of the U.S.A. or probably even possible.

Agreed, but there is at least a chance we could bully him into nominating a decent conservative, maybe ala Roberts to the SCOTUS. Don’t expect a Scalia of course.

We got Samuel Alito after congressional Republicans told Bush "hell no!" on Harriet Miers.

There's always hope.

I honestly believe that we're done if that happens.

The people that should be worrying are the GOPe for doing this, Patriots have been rock solid in their opposition to voting for Romney, not only because he sucks, but he can't win.

Put the pressure on where it belongs GOPe.

We will not waste our limited resources on FR in support for a liberal progressive LIAR

Yup, I agree all our effort should go to the Congressional races and we should sit out the presidency. It’s just sadly ironic that we now agree with exactly where George Will was a month ago.

I think much of the argument can be summed up as:

One side thinks the other underestimates how bad Romney will be, and one side thinks the other underestimates how bad Obama will be.

You must be LDS posting lies like that. He does not support global warming and we can post the video for you, again, if it would help. He has stated flatly on FOX roundtable that he was wrong on the mandate approach and is not advocating such an unConstitutional action, and we have the video for that too, if it really meant anything to you. You see, posting your lies tells us that you don't see anything wrong with lying for your religion candidate, so posting links to the videos won't change the mind of a lair for rominy:

Who are you voting for? Socialist A or Socialist B?

I remember having that exact argument with Freepers who thought it perfectly fine to vote for Joe Lieberman in Connecticut a few years ago. "The Republican doesn't have a chance", they proclaimed. Better to get Joe than the REALLY liberal Democrat who won the primary. I said then that Joe was a socialist and part of the socialist Democrat party, and I would not suggest that conservatives vote for him because he is slightly less socialist than someone else.

Next time, our choices will be between Obama and Stalin, and there will be some Freepers saying we better vote for Obama and hold our nose.

I am *NOT* a Romney proponent!

Right now, I’m considering writing-in Sarah Palin or Ron Paul for the General Election.

> The use of extreme exaggeration and hyperbole

The way things are going with 0bama0 and his Chicago thugs, the Black Pampers, Je$$e Jack$on, Al $harptongue, CAIR, and the VAST numbers of illegals, in our midst, not to mention the RAMPANT vote fraud, I don’t think that what I said is extreme exaggeration or hyperbole.

the GOPe for doing this

The party didn't make the field weak and didn't make voters split the notRomney vote. The weak field and lack of unity in opposition got us here.

The party ain't the problem. Re-electing Obama fixed nothing before will fix nothing next time.

I’d vote for either over Romney, even the pot-smoker from New Mexico. He’s a pro-abort, but woudl leave it to the states, and people would have to pay for it themselves. Sadly, that’s a huge improvement.

He said only in the last 24 hours before the vote that he decided he would “probably vote yes,” after being against it and opposing it the entire week before, even calling it the worst kind of socialism in that Hannity interview, and proposing a much different plan. That’s all a very important qualification to put in there rather than just saying he “supported TARP.” The nuance is important.

If it's down to Romney or Zero, then a 3rd Party is all we can hope for. Palin at the top of either the LP or CP tickets fits that bill.

Until Willard snaps up the GOP delegates he needs, count me in the Newt camp. After that, count me in the 3rd Party camp and a pox on both their houses.

If Gingrich is still on the ballot when the primary reaches California I will vote for him.
In the general I will not vote between a democrat communist and a Republican socialist/communist pretending to be a conservative.
All other offices yes, president no.

A few other categories should be added:

My point was that in addition to those mentioned by Jim, there are other points worth consideration. We have to survive as a nation for any post-2012 strategy to have meaning. I, for one, still believe the world is a dangerous place. And unilateral disarmament will leave us vulnerable to foreign aggression. 'Peace through strength' is how Reagan put it.

So there are domestic concerns and there are foreign policy concerns. Each category bears on our future.

We got Samuel Alito after congressional Republicans told Bush "hell no!" on Harriet Miers.

There's always hope.

Why would you believe you could pressure Romney on his Judicial or other nominations when as Governor of MA he nominated 27 left-wing, Progressive Liberal Democrats out of 36 judicial nominations?

Furthermore:

Legal analysts say candidate Romney is different from Gov. Romney.

Liberty Counsel Action Vice President Matt Barber said Romney’s appointments were constitutional “living document” poster children.

“Many of Romney’s appointments were not only liberal, not only Democrats, but were radical counter-constitutionalists. How on earth can we expect that, as president, he would be any different?” Barber asked rhetorically.

“Actions speak louder than words, and Mitt Romney’s actions as governor scream from the rooftops that he cannot be trusted with this most important of presidential responsibilities.”

Barber cites two specific examples of Romney’s radical appointments.

“As governor of Massachusetts, Mitt Romney not only failed in this regard, he appointed a number of very liberal, if not radical, ‘living, breathing’-minded judges to the bench,” Barber said.

“Two that come to mind were extreme homosexualists Marianne C. Hinkle and Stephen Abany,” he said. “They both had a long history of pro-gay activism, yet Romney didn’t hesitate to put them on the bench.”

“These are people who outrageously believe the postmodern notion that newfangled ‘gay rights’ trump our constitutionally guaranteed First Amendment rights,” he said.

Baldwin agreed, citing Romney’s statements about the two requirements he actually used when selecting judges.

“Romney did focus on two criteria: their legal experience and whether they would be tough on crime. In other words, the nominee could be a gay activist or a pro-big government, pro-quota, pro-gun control Democrat Party hack who detests every judicial principle treasured by our founding fathers,” Baldwin said. “But if he happens to be tough on crime and have prosecutorial experience, he gets past the Romney filter. Many of Romney’s nominees fit that description.”

Baldwin added that Romney did have some ideological criteria for many of his nominees:

“It was criteria commonly used by the left. For starters, his nominees were mostly pro-abortion. Indeed, while campaigning for governor in 2002, Romney told the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) that his judicial nominees would more likely protect abortion rights than would those of a Democrat Governor, according to notes from a person attending this meeting.”

Another Romney criteria, Baldwin explained, was “diversity.”

“The other criteria consistently emphasized by Gov. Romney in deciding judicial selections was ‘diversity.’ This is the silly notion that judgeships should reflect the population in terms of race and gender and even sexual orientation, regardless of a person’s judicial philosophy,” he said. “Clearly, the use of diversity quotas demonstrates Romney’s lack of a coherent conservative worldview.”

Why is it that Romney supporters are so ignorant of his record?

The Romney Economy

It is arresting to imagine a Romney White House, inevitably filled with as many former Bain colleagues as each of his other public ventures have been: The PowerPoints, the 80-20 jargon, the clinical separation of decision-making from ideology, the detachment of those decisions from moral consequence, a persistent blind spot for people as people. It would represent the final ascension of a perfectly American type, one that has already remade the culture of business. I once asked a Bain colleague of Romney’s how Romney thought of his own core competence. “I think Mitt thinks he’s good at being Mitt Romney,” the colleague said.

ANd I am sure you have gotten ours, the differences between Newt and Mitt are gigantic, the differences between Mitt and Obama are almost differences without distinction.

Because of that lack of difference between Mitt and Obama, he cannot and will not win if God Frowns on us and lets him be our nominee.

Instead of pimping a sure-fired loser on a conservative site when there are 46% of the delegates yet to be won, maybe, if you truly are a sincere conservate, you could join the rest of us and try and defeat the enemy to conservatism, Mitt Romney.

Why is it that Romney supporters are so ignorant of his record?

I know what kind of judges Romney nominated at governor of an extremely liberal state with an extremely liberal state legislature that he had to face. And I know what kind of judges Obama has nominated as President of the United States. You can shove that "Romney supporter" crap up your ass. I'm not going to join in on the pro-Obama cheerleading that is currently taking places on this forum.

Unlike it seems many here, I don't want four more years of the most destructive President this nation has ever suffered.

Romney because of his mormonism does not believe in A God but godS.

mormonism has mocked God Almighty/Christianity since its foundation, and Romney has been and most likely always be part of that corporation.

Romney is as left wing as BHO, that is how he governed, that is how he lives his life.

*EVEN IF* all of that constant “Romney checklist” that’s been going around were true, the last line states that 27 out of 36 judges nominated were liberals. I can guarantee you that Obama would nominate 36 out of the 36 that were as far left as can be. That’s enough for me.

Romney sucks. I have said before and I will say again that the only thing Mitt Romney ever said that I absolutely believed was that he hated the Yankees, which he said once in a debate in 2008. However, I don’t believe he hates this country and I don’t believe he’d load his administration with known Communists and Communist sympathizers.

Why would you think that Romney would appoint to his staff anyone different as president than he did as governor?
Romney and BHO are both left wing.

I agree. As someone who has sworn an oath and is currently wearing this nation's uniform, I will put my country over my principles.

The party didn't make the field weak and didn't make voters split the notRomney vote.

You don't think that the GOPe openly supporting Romney and his Millions that were available for is campaign had anything to do with discouraging competetion. Right.

Along with 'the list' these are further reasons Newt should be the next President of the USA:

- Superior intellect.... (needed due to the complexities we face today)

- Historical grasp .....(needed badly so as to avoid repeating errors)

- Knowledge of how Washington functions...... (thus, he is not intimidated by the process)

- A repentant heart......( Walked through the needed forgiveness and restoration steps needed to deal with past marital failures and sins.)

- Articulation skills..... (needed in order to serve the presidency)

- Commitment to social, fiscal and constitutional conservatism Elder statesman demeanor in this campaign Churchillian perseverance...... (desperately needed, given the radical secularists)

- Grasp of the correct definition of American Exceptionalism .........(rights given “by their Creator” to “We The People” with power temporarily loaned to elected officials)

- Based on the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution ......(something that he articulates better than any elected or previously elected official)

- Understanding of the severity of the loss of religious liberty in present-day America....... (we are on the verge of losing this)
