Mitt Romney leads President Obama in the first Gallup national daily tracking poll.
Romney took 47 percent support from surveyed registered voters, while Obama took 45 in a poll conducted between April 11 and April 15. Romney's edge though is within the poll's three point margin of error.
Independents tipped the scale in favor of Romney, going for the former Massachusetts governor 45 percent to 39.

Thank you. I will not do anything to help Obama in any way win this election. I will exert all of my energies to his defeat at the ballot box...and I believe we can. I am constrained to do this for my kids and grandkids sake so they can carry on the fight in the future. They may not have that chance with Obama in office for another four years. Plain and simple.
So I will vote for Romney if he is the nominee (and still hope and pray that Newt can pull off a miracle) and I will do so like the survival of the Republic depends on it...because I believe it does...even though Romney is not anywhere close to my ideal candidate, coming in fifth for me behind Palin, Cain, Santorum and Newt whom I have supported to date in the GOP primaries

I can see your point of view, truly I can.
Some of my closest friends voted for Obama even though I was able to prove to them during the summer of 2008 that his family claimed, through interviews with many African publications, that BHO2 was born in Kenya.
It is a shame that more folks do not do research on candidates but maybe I have a gift to recognize honesty when I hear and see it. Neither Obama nor Romney are honest men, period. They snooker people into seeing them, not as they are, but as the viewer wishes to see them.

No one here is hell bent on ensuring another 4 years for Obama in the White House, in fact, quite the opposite. What we are determined to do is prevent a self-avowed progressive, a socialist named Mitt Romney, from seizing control of the Republican Party.
George Soros has said that there is no difference between Romney and obama. He should know and has no reason to lie.
What we are proposing is to take back our party from the nabobs of negativism and run a conservative as the next Republican nominee.

What you are refusing to understand is that I will not vote for an abortionist statist for any reason whatsoever. Newt, Rush, Palin, you, Bachmann, NO ONE will convince me otherwise. I forgot to add, if you can give me a way that we can, at this point, run a candidate that has true blue Conservative credentials as the GOP nominee, I’m all in and will help anyone organize, get out the vote, and I will give my hard earned money to that candidate. But after analyzing all of the data, I see no way of doing this at such a late date, and it is late in a Presidential election year. Like I said, third party won’t do it. And delegates, the ones that can, are not going to switch candidates at the convention with all of the endorsements Romney has received. He’s practically already been endorsed by any potential conservative candidate you may want to put up against him!

Understand this: the nomination process is not over. There are 4+ months left to go until the convention in Tampa. Anything and everything can happen in that span of time.
The Tea Party managed to put a million people onto the streets of Washington, D.C., a couple years ago, and I believe Conservatives can take their party back from the frightened Country Clubbers who are terrified Obama will seize their wealth and deluded by Romney’s flashing money around and talking down his opponents as he has no posititve record to run on himself.
Our choice, and there really isn’t any other, is to back the only person running who has actually changed government, and that is Newt Gingrich.
Gingrich doesn’t have to get to 1144 delegates to effectively block Romney. After that first vote of delegates in Tampa when Romney can’t get the nomination free and clear, the whole convention is up for grabs.

Newt lost to Ron Paul in at least one Primary, couldn't make the ballot in other states, got about 5% of the vote in others. If delegates were going to revolt what makes you think they'd pick Newt?
