Romney leads Obama in fisrt national Gallup Poll
The Hill ^ | 4/16/2012 | Jonathon Easily

Romney took 47 percent support from surveyed registered voters, while Obama took 45 in a poll conducted between April 11 and April 15. Romney's edge though is within the poll's three point margin of error.

Independents tipped the scale in favor of Romney, going for the former Massachusetts governor 45 percent to 39.

The Gallup poll backs up a Rasmussen poll from last week that at the time looked like an outlier. The Rasmussen poll showed Obama and Romney tied at 45 percent, but was the first to show such a tight national race after a number of polls in March showed the president stretching his lead to double digits.

I just can’t imagine a scenario where Obama would win. He has lost so much of the Independent vote...the ones who came out for him last time...Students, etc...don’t see it. You’ll see it in the fundraising. But unless we destroy our nominee ourselves...well..you know. We have given the moderate Dems someone to vote for. I know you don’t like to hear it, but it’s the truth. So let’s help him win and then hold him accountable. Four more years of Obama is just too much to contemplate, especially for the Country.

Romney is winning not because he is a great candidate, but because the economy is in the toilet, the dems don’t want to acknowledge this, but people vote with their pocketbooks. If the economy keeps on tanking Romney is going to win the presidency.

But, the question is how will he govern if he wins? I think if his term will be very similar to George H.W. Bush, and I believe he will be a 1 term president. jmo.

That’s why I cannot believe the way Obama and his handlers have dealt with the Trayvon Martin thing.

He is basically saying that “we’re siding with the Black Panthers and against the 86% of you who aren’t Black”.

Electoral suicide. Race riots aren’t a resume builder, particularly when you are seen as tacitly endorsing them.

Almost makes you think he’d rather have Jesse Jackson’s job than his own.

Correct, Mitt is left enough to capture a lot of the dem vote. So what do we gain with Mitt? Well we get a legal citizen not attached to america hating nutjobs. We get someone whose life record is there for all to see, good, bad, ugly, and uglier. Mitt is not a race baiting race hating jack wagon. It will be Mitts first term and Obamas second. Mitt will NOT go against the tide in his first term, a conservative congress will be able to keep him in check. And, he will not abuse executive orders like Obama has, and will do even more so in a second term.

Is it too late for my cat to enter the race? The only problem might be there’s not a recorded bc and the father is unknown. Her platform would be to clean the RATS out of DC.

I don’t believe he will be primarried unless he is far, far worse than Obama btw I would be up for it. But I think Mittens will lay the boot off the private sector, and do a couple of things to frustrate us but I think he will be better than zero. Mittens may have a GWB economy going for him if he gets in and that would be eons better than the current guy in the white hut.

Barack Obama won 365 Electoral votes, carried 28 states and won by a margin of 52.9% to John McCain’s 45.7%. McCain won 173 Electoral votes and carried 22 states.....That’s only 7.2% over God awful McCain!....Obama is toast!

My business will not survive four more years of obama.

And for those who tell me I have to stand judgement before god for voting for ABO?

Yeah - they make total sense - I am going to hell for voting for myth if he is the pick, but they are going to heaven to giving us obama for a second term?

Is that the logic these people are using?

I hate ROMNEY - but obama has to go. The two are not incompatible with each other.

Absent a third party - Romney needs to get all the McCain voters, plus about 3% more and he wins over the ghetto tyrant.

Just remember, with Obama you get a $450 Billion dollar tax increase next January which will crush any semblance of a recovery.

At least Romney is sniffing around Ryan's plan.

When I graduated school in 2008 it took me three years to find my first real job. I put that directly on the shoulders of BHO and his presidency. I don’t want that for my little brother who’s going to graduate in 2016, I don’t want high gas prices, you’re right 0 has to go. I wish Palin would have run, but I will have to vote for the lesser of the two evils this time.

Like Cheney said, Obama is “an umitigated disaster” for America and must be driven out of office.
