On Sunday, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner told ABC's This Week host George Stephanopoulos that Americans are "in a much better position to deal with" soaring gas prices because "the overall cost of energy for consumers is down."

No concern at all for the implausibility of the lie.
The little guy’s always been sketchy, struck me as a fall guy from the start, but how does he or the administration hope to ever defend such a claim, such a detachment from reality?
The only thing I can surmise is that they all actually want to be percieved as stark raving mad.
To tank up my truck, car, diesel for the tractor and gasoline for the lawnmower cost me $230 yesterday. ($4.01 gasoline midgrade a gallon, $4.00 a gallon diesel)

They are like the business that puts a sign on a display that says, “ Great deal.” And the consumer suppose to bob their head up and down and think oh that is a great deal, look they have a sign that tells me so.
So here we have a typical federal government 0bama employed tax cheat telling us “ Great deal, energy costs are down.” And we have such a danged dumbed down citizenry that goes oh it must be so because the sign says great deal. They told me so.
They are a bunch of lying rat crooks led by a corrupt lying malevolent leader.

Geithner has had his head up his ass for so long his brain has asphyxiated.
This is such a big lie that even the uninformed will not buy it no matter how many times it’s repeated. My hairdresser just told me that she doesn’t see any recovery despite the fact that everyone keeps telling her it’s happening. She told me she’s advising her adult children to be extra careful of the money they’re spending.
I want some of what he’s smoking!
If he wants to destroy the reputation of treasuries, make it all seem unstable and risky, then the wheels would start to come off. Foreign treasury interest would decline, interest rates would increase.
Sorry for trying to find some semblance of intelligence in this, it's just too brazenly stupid on the surface, so I start turning over in my mind, looking for Some ulterior motive.
Also the warm winter, particularly in the Northeast where NG is a heating fuel of choice led to lower costs. But a car commuter from mid Long Island to NYC saw any savings eaten up in two weeks of driving.
This bastard is better off. He does not pay for gasoline..he has a limo and a driver and a government credit card. Same with all those in the GSO and Obama administration. Diesel cost me $4.36 this afternoon. Gasoline is $3.80 something and electricity rates just went up to pay for the damned wind power. What part of BS am I missing?
I can see your point, but I still think Obama and his minions are dumb as dirt worthless bastards when unscripted, with the MSM doing its' best and working overtime to cover their tracks.
