Thus: give the govt bureaucrats power to define AT WILL like this, and tomorrow YOU could be declared something subhuman that would allow them to eliminate you.
Slippery Slope indeed - this is over the cliff in my mind, but then I do tend to see grave injustices in black and white terms.
