One chunk of the Republican electorate has proved an incredibly fickle voting bloc, denying party unity while the nominating process dragged on. Its the same group of conservative voters that went from candidate to candidate, looking for an alternative to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Now, out of options, it seems that those who identify themselves as tea party supporters are finally coming home to the presumptive nominee.

> Tea Party Warms To Romney
Bullsh!t !!!!!
We are the Tea Party, and I can’t think of a single Freeper who would even consider Romney for anything.
Can’t speak for the rest of the Tea Party but I’m not warming to that socialist RINO at all. I will not be voting for him unless he comes out and announces he’s going to do away with some Unconstitutional firearms laws and promises to see justice done over the Fast and Furious Treason.
If he comes out and declares publicly that he’ll work hard to repeal the NFA, Hughes Amendment and the Sporting Purpose clause... I’ll vote for him. If he doesn’t, well, he’s not getting my vote.
NOBAMA!!!!!
One here. Time to face reality.

FALL BALLOT
( ) Barack Obama
( ) Mitt Romney
(pick one)
The ballot papers are out already?
Even before the RNC have a nominee?
Hey, if it's anybody but Mitt Romney, I'll be partying in the streets!
But it's not going to be anybody but Mitt Romney. It's going to be Mitt Romney.
They've calculated that he will attract more Independents than he will lose Tea Partiers.
Of course, that won't stop them from blaming us when he loses.
Believe it or not, we could do worse.
Not this TEA Party member. There will NEVER be a vote coming from me, my household - and if I can help it, anyone from our community for Romney if he is on the ballot in November.
The Ruling Class has overplayed it’s hand as far as I am concerned.
This election the Ruling Class insists we drink from the cup they thrust into our faces. A cup of their own choosing. They spit in, defiled and knocked from our hands all the other cups we were interested in. So they thrust this platter into our faces with two cups they have said from the beginning of this campaign we must drink from.
Both cups are poison. One we know will kill us quick, the other cup is filled with a poison that will still kill us, but slower and more painfully.
While many folks are trying to convince me that taking the slower poison will buy us time from a quicker death, I refuse to acquiesce to their logic. I REFUSE to take from either cup. I will choose my own, not what they have presented.
Bull crap. We know he’s going to turn around and kick us in the ass.
I vote for people I support, and only for people I support.

(x) None of the Above
THIS Tea Partier isn`t warming up to Obama`s white half.
Ever.
Says who?
When shown the November reality, even Tea Party folk know what the best choice is......
When shown the November reality, even Tea Party folk know what the best choice is......

Best to limit the damamge as we can, and work to get more Jim DeMints and fewer Mitch McConnells in Congress.
exactly
The choice is between botulism and salmonella.
Either way, you’re going to be sick as Hell and most likely die due to the inadequacies of either 0bamaCare or RomneyCare.
Your choice.
A write-in or Third Party Conservative. Best choice. We do not have to drink the poison the Ruling Class has served us.
=====================MYTH: What happens now?Scott Toomey: Well, now, uh, Ken Mehlman, R. Clarke Cooper, Meghan McCain, Mary Cheney and I wait until nightfall, and then leap out of the Fithcally Conthervative log cabin, taking The Party(tm) by surprise -- not only by surprise, but totally unarmed!MYTH: Who leaps out?Scott Toomey: Uh, Ken Mehlman, R. Clarke Cooper, Meghan McCain, Mary Cheney and I. Uh, leap out of the log cabin, uh and uh....MYTH: Oh....Scott Toomey: Oh.... Um, l-look, if we built this large wooden Rhinocerous -- [twong]ALL: Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! [splat]NO SALE!
I understand where you're coming from. I agree with your assessment.
Here is what I am going to do.
I am going to vote for Mitt Romney, because he is the lesser of two evils. Not even close. He is much, much less evil.
Still evil, of course. But much, much less evil.
I am going to work for Republicans in the House and Senate, so Romney will have less opportunity to "reach across the aisle", because fewer and fewer Democrats will be there.
For 2016, I am going to work to take over the Democratic Party. It's too late for this year, but we have four long years to get a good Democratic nominee for 2016.
We will never be able to wrest the Republican Party from the establishment types. Rommey is their prototype, and they are going to beat us at this game, over and over again. We're stupid to keep playing.
Third Party is simply not an option. If we throw our weight behind a third party, we guarantee the election of whatever Socialist loser the Democrat machine puts forward, in perpetuity.
The only place left to go is the Democratic Party. As their "establishment" becomes more and more blatantly Socialist, they are losing touch with their own electorate. A good, solid pro-growth, pro-America optimistic candidate could make inroads with the Reagan Democrats, and perhaps steal the nomination. Then we flank the Republican Establishment on the right during the 2016 General Election.
That is my modest proposal for a way forward.
But the first step is holding our nose and voting for Mitt.
Exactly. Good analogy.
There were a lot of freepers that claimed they would not vote for juan mccain either. Then came sarah and that went out the window. If Mitt truly wants to win this thing, he will choose a reasonably conservative veep.
Not THIS tea partier!
Romney Fake Tea Party in Texas "informing" Gov Palin not to run
Romney Fake Tea Party rumor-making Sullivans in S.C.
Romney Fake Tea Party pumps anti-Gov Palin rumors in Iowa
FAKE TEA PARTIES. KNOW THEM BY THEIR RINO.
Same exercise.. gotta elect the RINO, even with all his warts, then work to get more conservatives elected.
Yet, here we are...again.
Only THIS time, the GOP has settled on the worst of the bunch. I settled for Bush I and II, Dole and even McCain. But Romney? They`ve pushed it too far this time. No thanks.
any port in a storm?
They really are pulling out all the stops to set the psychological stage.
Three things now can block the RINO Liar going forward:
1. Santorum endorses Gingrich.
2. Newt makes it to a brokered convention.
3. Sheriff Arpaio reveals who the forger is.
The last item can cause pandemonium everywhere and the uncertainty will affect the Romney camp. A large swath pf voters will look at Obama with suspicion and as a byproduct will view Romney with a side glance. The entire political establishment will be made suspect and the passions of 2010 will be reemerge with a vengeance.
When Americans are made so angry, when they know they have been duped, they will react by throwing out as much of the establishment of the ruling class as possible.
I don’t believe this for a second.
Either way, youre going to be sick as Hell and most likely die due to the inadequacies of either 0bamaCare or RomneyCare.
Your choice.
Excellent comparison.
Of course, most people will survive salmonella, but must people will not survive botulism.
Romney is salmonella. Bon appetit!

That’s a revolutionary idea worthy of discussion and a vanity thread. You could title it, “Should conservatives work to take over the Democrat Party?”
Yup,worked great for Ross Perot.A huge turnout...something like 20% of the vote.Anyone recall how many *electoral* votes he got?

Mitt Romney wins much coveted Jimmy Carter endorsement
Gore Praises Romney's 'Climate Protection Plan'

Carville(D):
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Wasted my vote going for the communist one time, will NOT do it again.
I have not forgotten after 40 years, seems quite a few around here have forgotten after just 4. Elections have consequences people and complain all you want, Romney is NOT the same as Obama, not even fricken close.
I remember this. Y’all did the same stick your head in the sand “hope they learn their lesson” type MISTAKE with George Bush I and look what happened. Just hold your nose and cast a vote against Obama no matter who it is. Get real.
“Hurl” alert?
That is why I am no longer going to play in their party or follow their rules or go along to get along.
Third Party is simply not an option. If we throw our weight behind a third party, we guarantee the election of whatever Socialist loser the Democrat machine puts forward, in perpetuity.
Perhaps not. The Whig Party comes to mind. I refuse to play by the rules the enemy has set up for us to play by. Poison is poison and since it is beign forced on us - I choose not to drink it thinking I'm buying myself more time. Such is stupidity. It's still poison.
Your solution is interesting, and at this late hour, no matter what we do now, it is going to take DECADES to turn this sinking ship around, if at all. If history is our teacher, then America is refusing to acknowledge what time it is, which makes the reckoning all the more complete and horrific.
It's the only place left to go. Too late for this year, though...
You are resigning from the country and becoming a one man island? LOL LOL LOL
Anyone recall who won the election with just 42% of the popular vote?
It's true, Romney could have a heart attack or something before they make it official. Short of that though, yeah, Willard is the nominee. Paul was never a serious challenger and Newt is off having fun, visiting zoos and such and hoping people will continue sending in money to help pay down his campaign debt. One has to begin to wonder why Gingrich is even continuing to get secret service protection at this point.
Your way forward is the best way forward.
South Texas, you are right. A vote for Romney (or whoever) is a vote against Communism.
