Rest in Peace, Dick.

He had class by the mile — New Years will never be the same again.

Prayers or the family.

The Mayans were trying to warn us.

At the bottom of their calendar, in fine print, it said “2013 will come. Only you must ring it in without Dick Clark, which means it might as will not come. We will therefore not include it.”

Thanks for all the great entertainment, Mr. Clark!

I grew up watching him on American Bandstand. Good, clean, wholesome fun. He’ll be missed.

Nobody saw that one coming.

I had naively expected Dick Clark to live to at least 120, as he was already the world’s oldest teenager, and was just barely out of his adolescence.

I actually was surprised to learn he was 82 - I had always thought him to be younger than myself.

Jeez, now I feel old.

In 1959, Clark did a radio interview with Elvis in the Army when stationed in Germany.. I was surprised Clark was 82. I thought he was at least 90.

Nobody saw that one coming.

Huh?

He's been a recurring pick in death pools since his first post-stroke New Year's Eve appearance.

I thought he was older than 82, but I guess that was just the way the stroke deteriorated his health.

RIP. Thanks for the AB memories.

“Jeez, now I feel old.”

If you grew-up with American Bandstand, “we” are old!

As a kid, I and many of my generation raced home from school to watch American Bandstand out of Philadelphia, with its “regulars” and guests, the introduction of new songs, new dances, etc. THEN, there was the Saturday night Dick Clark Show out of the Little Theatre in New York. I was fortunate to get tickets to two of those shows. Great, harmless times.

Rest in peace, Dick Clark.

Grew up with his show in the 50's & 60"s. Sad day! RIP Mr. Clark!

I remember him playing, and us doing, the "Mexican Hat Dance" with my grandmother when I was little. And, oh yeah, we all had our favorite couples/dancer.
