Joe Kennedy III calls for ending ‘cheap oil’
The Daily Caller ^ | April 18, 2012 | Christopher Bedford

Posted on 04/18/2012 2:07:53 PM PDT by Timber Rattler

As gas prices continue to soar around the country, Joe Kennedy III, the Democratic candidate for Rep. Barney Frank’s seat, wrote an online letter to supporters calling for an end to “cheap oil.”

“Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama — they’ve all talked about the same thing: the need to wean ourselves off our debilitating dependence on foreign oil,” Kennedy wrote.

“The cycle that allows cheap oil to trump tough choices has to stop,” he continued. “Forty years is enough.”

Let me know when you have something that can replace all the uses of oil at a similar cost and I might consider it.

I am guessing that the Kennedy’s are going to get out of the oil business then since it is so bad for the country. They own Arctic Royalty Limited Partnership, which consists of two drilling companies Kenoil and Mokeen oil.

They all have real jobs so that the loss of tax free royalty money from exiting oil won’t be a bother.

I agree, we should ween ourselves off of cheap oil and convert our country to rubber band energy technology.

Let the Chinese suffer with oil while we run our country peacefully on rubber bands.

Oil bad, rubber bands good.

yep...ANOTHER KENNEDY

who doesn't know what it is like to struggle and just get by...

never had to earn a cent in his life...just lived off the family trust funds...

he can take his political campaign and shove it where the sun doesn't shine..I hope the day comes he will know financial struggle..his family has suffered personal losses, but there has always been plenty of bucks to ease their pain.

You obviously were referring to Timber Rattler as the "guy who's been here five months." It is common courtesy to ping people about whom you are posting -- as I would expect a 1998 registrant to know and observe, particularly when preaching about FR traditions and rules.

What, I'm at a lunch counter looking out the window, I see a whack-job staggering down the street, I nudge the guy next to me and say "hey, look at that nutcase, what do ya think of that?"

And here comes pogo101 to explain: "hey, don't you know the proper rules of discourse, you've got to go over and tell that citizen that you said something about him to the guy sitting next to you?"

Joe Kennedy wants to have private citizens sue factories and power plants the same way the ADA is a cash cow for lawyers.

What mr high and mighty is saying is that he wants poor people (not the blessed like him) to be forced into trains and only self important scum like him will be allowed private cars.

Then they should post it a few more times just to make sure that

You inspire me. All articles should be re-posted every fifteen minutes, forever.
