To all supporters of Michael Behenna, please read the post below from Michael's parents regarding his appeal hearing. Please pass on to all in the DC Metro area. We want to show our support for this hero!!!

"To the thousands of Michael Behenna supporters, After three long years of waiting for Michael’s case to be heard by a court not under command influence the day we have been waiting for is about here. On April 23rd at 9am Michael’s case will be heard by the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (CAAF). This civilian court will hear oral arguments regarding Michael’s case at 450 “E” Street in Washington, DC. This hearing is open to the public and while no decision will be made that day all present will gain an understanding of why Michael’s case intrigues the news media, military legal scholars, and the patriots of this nation. Michael killed an Al-Qaida cell leader in self-defense in a war zone and then was sentenced to a lengthy sentence at Fort Leavenworth prison after the Army prosecutors withheld evidence and the judge ruled he had no right to self-defense. Hopefully the CAAF will dissect this horrible injustice and free Michael from his Leavenworth cell. As soon as we know how the CAAF rules on Michael’s case we will let you know. Please remember to pass along the YouTube link of the Ballad of Michael Behenna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMbytddDjWI. Also, if you know of any radio stations (country or otherwise) that might play Michael's Ballad, please provide an address and contact person and we will be glad to send them a copy of the CD. It has been a long and burdensome road these past three plus years, but you have seen us through it with your prayers, kind words, and letters of support to Michael and to us. It is our hope that soon all of our prayers will be answered and Michael will be home where he belongs. Finally, Michael asked all of us to keep the families of Sgt Adam Kohlhaas and Sgt Steven Christofferson in our thoughts and prayers. It will be four years ago this weekend (April 21st) that these two brave and remarkable soldiers from Michael’s Mad Dog 5 Platoon were killed by an Al-Qaida IED attack in Iraq. Michael loved them as brothers and brothers they were along with the entire Mad Dog 5 platoon.

Sincerely, Scott & Vicki Behenna http://www.defendmichael.com"

This is a reminder about the hearings scheduled for SFC Soldier Kelly Stewart and lst Lt Michael Behenna. Both of these hearings are open to the public and it is my hope the courtrooms are flooded with supporters for these Brave Warriors! Details below. Please forward to your lists and post all over.

Kelly Stewart's hearing will be held on April 19th from 1000-1100 (10am est) at 9275 Gunston Road Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5546, at the Army Court of Criminal Appeals. You can read about Kelly's case at www.savethissoldier.com and http://bobmccarty.com/2012/03/28/soldiers-hearings-to-take-place-four-days-apart/.

Michael Behenna's hearing will be held on April 23rd at The Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces courthouse, 450 E. Street, Northwest, Washington D.C., the argument begins at 9:00 a.m. You can read about Michael's case at www.defendmichael.com and also at http://bobmccarty.com/2012/03/28/soldiers-hearings-to-take-place-four-days-apart/.

It is my hope that both of these hearings will be heavily attended. These two brave Warriors willingly and nobly stepped up to defend us all and now they need us to step up and defend them!!! I will proudly attend both these hearings so that Michael and Kelly know I support them, I believe in them and my family is so very very grateful for their willingness to serve and keep us safe! I hope many of you will join me.

Lastly, please forward the video below out to all your lists and leave comments. This song tells the tragic story of lst Lt Michael Behenna and the detrimental effects of the insane policy of "catch and release" that our Soldiers are fighting under. I will continue to plead for Congressional Hearings on the dangerous and reckless ROE's and "catch and release" policies that result in the killing, maiming and incarceration of the brave men and women of our military, who willingly step onto the battlefield to protect us all. Please pray for our troops, they need us now more than ever!

Always remember, Michael Never Left His Men! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMbytddDjWI

I don't know the particulars in this case but I will say I wish him well. It is very disturbing to me that this government will send men and women to war, be in harms way every second they serve in the battlefield, have their friends shot, blown up, ambushed and then have the audacity to bring them up on charges and prosecute for killing the enemy. What kind of perversion exists in our leaders? Where are the members of congress?? There should be an outrage in this country as no other?? War means people die. If it's the enemy that's a good thing. The prosecution should be prosecuted. This is totally disgusting and makes me ashamed of my country.

I also meant to add, I don’t care what the circumstances were, when there is a war and a declared enemy, for my money anything goes. I know there is the Geneva Convention. Al-Queda doesn’t recognize Geneve. With them anything goes. Just beat them to the punch and more often.

On April 23rd at 9am

That's the feast of St. George, patron of soldiers, and just about everything else male.

Oremus, and God speed.
