The arm band shackles seem like a game being played by the security. Generally, there are no arm shackles for this type of self surrender defendant. at most it is handcuffs behind the back until the actual start of the hearing.

I’ve been watching since the hearing started- Zimmerman’s wife is very strong and a no-nonsense kind of person. His lawyer is fantastic. His mother and father both calm and forthright. The state looks as though it’s digging for buried treasure - in an empty sandpit.

the state has to justify their demand for no bond. At the start of this hearing all they had was the pc affidavit. (the document Dershowitz called “unethical”)
So the state has to try and salvage something not even a first year law student would write.
I think the guy on the stand just LIED big time by saying he had not heard that Trayvon’s father said that was NOT his son’s voice.

I’d like to know the time difference between when he left 7-1l and the confrontation at about 7:15. Also, if he was the only one at the condo, IIRC his father said, why hang out in the rain?
this is a bloodbath for the state and if the judge doesn’t allow very low bond or even throw this case out I will be VERY surprised.
The state’s case is an utter joke.
State now trying to recover by relying on evidence/testimony not in evidence (objection - sustained). State is in total panic mode.

There was a statement made yesterdy by Crump something to the effect of “it didn’t matter if Trayvon attacked Zimmerman, Zimmerman had no right to shoot Trayvon”. Speaks volumes.
The state is tap-dancing to avoid the cold hard facts.
this boob on the stand is claiming all kinds of ‘fake’ evidence about george ‘chasing’ trayvon and says he has no other info but the fake stuff (and the call george made) but doesn’t actually use george’s statements as evidence and o’mara calls him on it.
The “investigator” looks and sounds so nervous it’s unsettling...cops on stand are usually strong and assured. This is interesting...the state is trying to put on a trial today.
Not true. Its common practice for arm and leg restraints to transport prisoners to and from court. I’ve worked in a Florida jail. This is done for all. No matter the severity of the offense.

It does seem to undermine the presumption of innocence.

now asking witness about george’s injuries. state tried to say that have a witness that says the head bashing wasn’t true.
He also seems to have trouble understanding straight forward questions.
“Suggested” his head was being bashed into the concrete? This is a c-f. A serious c-f.
I think all those involved for the state are realizing one of them will be the fall guy.
Where is our resident “25 year prosecutor” who had absolutely no doubt GZ should have been charged to offer his explanation of this lopsided hearing?

You’re right- it’s NOT the state trying the case- lol..it’s the defense. O’Mara is a smart man and is using every inch of leeway he’s got.

Praise God! I was hoping O’Mara would do right by Mr. Zimmerman, and it appears that he is.
Continuing to pray for Zimmerman, his family, and Mr. O’Mara, and for the judge as well, that he not succumb to the political pressure but do the right thing.

The state is pushing a political case with no evidence.
So the witness just stated the shot was in close proximity.
We have no seen the bloody head picture. (who caused that to be a bloody head?)
What other evidence is the state concealing?
