DU wouldn’t ban Dolphie. He loved all animals, so much he was a vegan, unlike President Puppy Eater!

This clip from “Downfall” has been used on You Tube for at least a year or two. It seems to fit all occasions. There must be a thousand videos of Bruno Ganz carrying on about various subjects. The Freeper video IS funny, though.
To: TigersEye
Awesome! Thanks.
I was permabanned from FR after 13 years with no warning whatsoever. I don’t really relate to the video but it’s funny as heck!

Then there was “Hitler misses out on buying Girl Scout cookies.”
BTW, the movie “Der Untergang” is fascinating since it is (not the first?) a Hitler movie made for a German audience.

I haven't seen it myself but I would like to. It's supposed to be very good. It is an excellent film. Some of the other characters (such as Joseph and Magda Goebbels) were more chillingly portrayed than Hitler, if that's possible.
BTW, there are now Downfall parodies based on Goebbels as well. There's one featuring Frau Goebbels too, wherein she declares her desire for a night of sweet love with Eva Braun. The movie is like a cornucopia of raw material.

Hmmm..... being typecast isn’t good for any actor’s career, but to be known forevermore as the best Hitler in cinema?
George Reeves got typecast as Superman and it drove him to suicide, just sayin’.
IMO better to be a versatile character actor. Before Alec Guiness played Obi Won-Konobe, he was Hitler in “The Last Ten Days”. Of course, it was a teensy offputting to hear der Fuhrer speaking in a clipped British accent.

To: elcid1970
It won’t hurt Ganz. He’s been an actor for decades with a HUGE body of work in every language. The George Reeves/”Superman” story is a myth. But I’ll agree, I can’t see Daniel Radcliff as anyone but Harry Potter. Or Elijah Wood as anyone but Frodo.

Haha. I wasn’t impressed. However I gave Quentin Tarantino enormous credit for paying homage to super-fab, war movie actor, Aldo Ray. I’m assuming that’s what he did. Such a great actor.
