This Weekend We Could Begin the Rescue of America (or Don’t Let Newt Down.)
Vanity | April 20, 2012 | True Believer Forever

We have around 15,000 calls that need to be made to Delaware before Tuesday's primary. If we can get Champions for Newt who will make as many calls as they can between Friday and Monday, or Tuesday, we can do it!

As much as the political and media establishment would like to declare this race over and coronate Mitt Romney as our inevitable nominee, it just isn’t the case.

This campaign has had its up and downs, and we’ve seen the momentum shift on a dime. And within the next week, we believe we have a real opportunity to upset the conventional wisdom.

We’ve had great crowds with lots of enthusiasm, and a number of key elected officials have endorsed our campaign in recent days. We truly believe that we have a real opportunity to win there, but we need your help.

This campaign couldn’t have survived through the various ups and downs without the passionate support of people like you. And now it’s time to put that passion to work again.

We just launched a new “phone from home” system at phone.newt.org and there’s plenty of households in Delaware that could use a call from you.

We’re trying to make as many calls as we can into Delaware over the next few days to identify Newt supporters, to persuade undecided voters, and turn them out to the polls on Tuesday.

Our new system is very easy to use and your help over the next few days is absolutely vital.

So please take a moment today to visit phone.newt.org and make as many phone calls as you can.

With your help, we can turn the conventional wisdom on its head, and force the political and media establishment to acknowledge that this race is not over.

I am hoping that Romney supporters believe all the media hype that the race is over and don’t bother to show up to vote :)

GO NEWT!

Here is a post thread that puts the Delaware race into perspective, pls take a moment...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2874694/posts

Lots of interesting posts, including this one:

The following is an excerpt from Vince Haley (Newt's campaign manager) fundraising email sent out today. Sure doesn't sound like Newt's getting ready to cancel NC.

"Moreover, here is something not widely known -- the polls for the last two weeks have been showing that Newt, even as the media was coronating Romney, has been holding a remarkable residual strength in North Carolina. What does that mean?

It means Republican voters in North Carolina are in the mood to cause an upheaval -- to tell the national news media that primary voters and not a lot of elitist liberals will pick our party's nominee."

I think it also could mean the Romney campaign is up to their usual dirty tricks in NC. They keep thinking they've killed Newt, but Newt just doesn't agree. I'll stand with Newt until Newt stands down. Post #11

That's an interesting take, never thought of it before... why should rombots bother to vote since Willard has it all sewn up?

We need a freak snow storm in Delaware, just the kind of weather Newtsters like...

Does anyone know which delegates are for Newt on the Pennsylvania ballots? Our vote for president means nothing here, only the delegates we pick. And they are NOT marked on the ballot as to which candidate they’re supporting.

For instance, these are the delegates in Chester County and we have to pick 3:

JONATHAN HENRY SPADT
CURT SCHRODER
RYAN A COSTELLO
PHILIP G DUFFY
EDMUND W BENDER
SEAN LEBAN
BYRON WHITMAN
JANICE K KEARNEY
JIM GERLACH

Looks like republicans generally do not want an actual conservative..

Which means republicans generally are not much different than democrats..
O.K. a little different, but only marginally..

Choosing the inventor of Romney-care to run against the inventor of Obama-care may not be the wisest choice..
Romney was also good friends with Ted Kennedy... and Barney Fwank..

Note to republicans: Bend over here it comes again..

This is pretty much how it goes in PA, according to the article:

All Republican delegates run in congressional districts uncommitted to any candidate even if they publicly or privately support someone.

“They are not bound to vote for any particular presidential candidate at the Republican National Convention,” says Mark Wolosik, Allegheny County elections director.

While Democratic voters see the name of the presidential candidate backed by a particular delegate, the same is not true for Republicans.

“Each party has its own rules in terms of selecting their delegates,” adds Wolosik.

While Republican voters will not be able to tell from the ballot which delegate candidate supports which candidate for president, the best that a Republican voter can do is call those campaigns or those delegate candidates to find out now which one supports which presidential candidate.

********

The article also says you could contact the delegates directly... Newt says he has a full slate of delegates pledged...

If you can't find out from PA sources, let me know...

The RNC is so biased... this is pathetic compared to how the dems give out their ballot info..

“It means Republican voters in North Carolina are in the mood to cause an upheaval — to tell the national news media that primary voters and not a lot of elitist liberals will pick our party’s nominee.”

I certainly am. Romney is the candidate of gun control, gay marriage, and Romneycare, all things which should be absolutely unacceptable to anyone who remotely resembles a conservative. I feel it is my duty to vote for Newt on May 8, and by doing so, take a dump in the swimming pool of the country-club GOP-e.
