NORTHFIELD, Ill. (CBS St. Louis) Kraft Foods is attempting to clean up the mess made by the accidental release of a controversial Oreo advertisement that features a breastfeeding baby.
The ad shows a baby feeding from an uncensored breast and holding an Oreo cookie in its hand.
Milks favorite cookie, it reads at the bottom.
A spokesperson from Kraft told CBS St. Louis that the ad was not intended for mass public consumption.
Wed like to clarify that Kraft Foods did not create this visual, a spokesperson said in a statement via e-mail. In fact, this visual was created by our agency for a one-time use at an advertising awards program.
The spokesperson added, It was never intended for public distribution or use with consumers. And it has never run in Korea or any other markets.
Cheil Worldwide, the advertising agency utilized by Kraft, has been credited with creating the design concept. (Warning: Graphic Image in Link) Kraft, headquartered in Northfield, Ill., is known for the production of snack goods such as Wheat Thins, Ritz Crackers and Chips Ahoy! cookies, in addition to Oreos.
I love milk.
People need to lighten up.
So, what’s wrong with this ad? I think it’s quite clever.
Beats me.
I think its quite clever.
Me too.
Its a great ad, very powerful and so simple. It should be on billboards througout the country....
[sarcasm]
Horrors and shame on Kraft that they would actually depict a mother caring for her own baby.
EVERYONE knows that ONLY the state can properly care for all children from birth.
[/sarcasm]
I think it’s a great ad.
Prolly not a good idea for public consumption but still a real smile.
Thanks null and void. I nipple saw anything like this before. Okay, just once:

Proposal for caption:
“A kid’ll eat the middle of a ... num num num ...”
(sorry Mods go ahead and pull, if that’s over the line)
Who doesn’t like milk with oreos
“.......it has never run in Korea........”
Odd comment relative to nothing else in the ad. Hmmmmmmm.
Ooops.
Cool! From what I can see, looks like prob’ly a first-time mum. Maybe she needx the revenue from doing the ad with her lit’l-un to buy didies.
Just speculatin’ here.
Maybe one of those “accidental” releases to create even more viral buzz?
Okay, so how do you dunk the cookie?
I see nothing offensive.
I love the containers
I think you are on to something. That might actually be an interesting way to package milk, tit shaped containers. Hard to believe it has not been thought of before.
Here it is uncensored:

“Warning” nudity...
It is a cute, creative advertisement.
As a former copy writer myself, I shudder at the stupiity an the over the li8ne ads of today. All the product of the dumbing down of students and the lack of decency in society today.
Funny thing is, the women commenting at the site, love it.
Well we need a “A cup” of fat free but a “Double D cup” of whole milk for the kids thanks
“Kraft Foods is attempting to clean up the mess...”
Mess? What’s the problem? Who complained?
My irony meter just pegged.
Well What they say is mothers milk leads to every thing
Dunno. In the jug?
Odd comment relative to nothing else in the ad.
Huh?
Did you miss the part about it being a South Korean ad ?
I love boobies
I agree!
Not only is it clever, it's beautiful. And I mean the uncensored version.
What with the daily bombardment of quasi-porn that is beamed at us constantly --even on mainstream, allegedly family-oriented television programming-- this image reaches a ZERO on the Richter scale of "offensiveness."
Anyone who claims to be "disgusted" at the sight of nursing mothers and babies ... please let me put it to you this way, and maybe you will get over it:
Babies who are nursed are much more physically and emotionally healthy than formula-fed babies ... ergo breast-fed babies are much less likely to consume YOUR taxpayer dollars in the form of Medicaid expenses, child welfare social services, special schools for disturbed children, and even the costs of eventual prison incarceration.

I think it's the source of the brand name "Tetra-Pak"
At least no one risked doing an “eat the inside first” joke.
Cookies and milk! Nothing better.
Cookies and food police. Nothing worse.
Always ready to oblige...

What mess! The photo was beautiful!
I was thinking more of a rounder perkier package, with a twist off nipple. Or better yet, double containers, with a handle in between, one could be fat free the other whole or 2 percent......maybe they could be produced by “Mammary Farms” or “Dolly Parton” dairies, triple D for short.
The article doesn’t say who is actually upset by this. Probably Kraft management and no one else. Those corporate types have a horror of any potential controversy. Their version of a Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction” maybe.
Sorry, I just went through it again and STILL don’t see any reference to Korea. Can you point it out to me?
*ouch*
5.56mm
Huh huh...you said “leaked”.
I see it as a perfectly natural and innocent picture. Anyone offended by the glory of creation is sick.
2nd paragraph.
First LOL I had of the day. LOVE it!

Looking at ‘his’ eyes, it is easy to believe his heart isn’t where his mouth is, he is looking forward to dessert.
Of course, at a certain age the main course (here) is the dessert, or at the very least the hors’devours.

Well, I’m usually in the habit of just reading what’s in the link, so seeking yet another article, beyond the linked source, is just not something I do.
Sorry if I left out something so vital to you.
dont see any reference to Korea

At a not so close look, it is fairly obvious that the little sucker is of Asian persuasion.
