The Adelson family continues to be the major benefactor behind the super PAC supporting Newt Gingrich's candidacy, Winning Our Future.

While Nevada casino mogul Sheldon Adelson - who has donated $7.5 million to the group - did not give more in March, his wife Dr. Miriam Adelson contributed an additional $5 million last month, according to a report filed late Friday night with the Federal Election Commission. All totaled she has given $12.5 million and the family has given more than $20 million.

The family's contributions to Winning Our Future are a major reason the group has been able to continue operating. In total the group has raised $23 million.

It brought in $5,051,082 last month, meaning almost all of its receipts were from Miriam Adelson's one contribution, which came on March 21.

The PAC has $5.8 million cash on hand. It spent just over $1.5 million last month supporting Gingrich's candidacy at a time when his run for president faced major financial problems and questions about its viability.

Adelson is also beginning........

As the left and right pravda media continue to ridicule Newt ( bit by penguin; bounced check, $4M in debt- costing taxpayer $30M a day in Secret Service- etc, ad infinitum)– the most under-reported story is, in fact, the most intriguing one.

1. Based on filings yesterday, Newt’s PAC has SIX (6) Million dollars on hand– (on par with Romney's PAC)

2. The Adelsons donated Five (5) Million dollars to the PAC on MARCH 21.

Questions:

1. Clearly, Newt’s PAC is conserving its resources- why?

2. Despite all reports to the contrary, the Adelsons continue to contribute big money to Newt– the March 21 contributions came after Newt’s losses in Al and Miss; and after all the reports that the Adelsons were ready to support Romney. Why?

My answers- Neither Newt, nor the Adelsons, have surrendered to the GOP-e. Newt is husbanding his resources- hoping for an opening.

I’m in, til Newt’s out.

I’ve still yet to have the opportunity to vote for Newt, and you’d better believe I still plan on it. I do know I’m never voting for Romney (or choosing Romney as I’m voting against someone else...)

It’s a waste of money that could be used to defeat Obama. Newt has no support outside of FR.

Good observations and questions, Vin. Your answers are logical too.

God bless the Adelson family.

I’ll stand with Newt until Newt stands down.

Cool beans

I hope Newt is still working to get Santorum’s support and possibly Palin as his VP candidate. Those things could turn this whole primary campaign on its head.

No doubt. I expressing an opinion that will be proven correct: This is a waste of money. I’m sure that you hate Romney but Newt has looked like a weak an ineffectual campaigner for months now. I understand that you support him and wish him luck.
However, it is obvious to most that this dog won’t hunt....the primary of course ;)

“Newt has no support outside of FR.”

Please come back and tell us that after Romney fails to get enough people to vote for him in the general.

The GOP-e, MSM, Fox, and the libs love folks like you. Real conservatives will never win by giving in.

I stand with Newt.... and on my principles.

GO NEWT GO....

I think early voting in Cali begins on the 7th. Been waiting to vote for Newt since January. Moonbeam and the Democrat legislature screwed us over with the primary date big time.

I think you’re going to be very disappointed to learn that fre
just please don’t let it make you more bettere republic influence just doen’t bleed into the general public. It pains me to say this but it is true and it looks like you’re going to do be defeated in two elections this year, newt and obama.
I just hope you don’t become too bitter, we might just need you next election cycle.
