Marriott promoting discounts to gay couples

The Marriott hotel chain is known for its comfortable rooms and amenities. But in addition to a plethora of appeasing services, the popular company also offers value packages to individuals who are gay. Curiously, numerous hotels within the Marriott chain offer what they call “OUT” packages.

At the Renaissance Washington Marriott in Washington, D.C., for instance, the deal includes chocolate covered strawberries, sparking wine upon arrival and a copy of NaviGaytour Magazine, among other benefits. ...

The main thrust of the deals seem to be predicated upon an urge to attract a gay customer base, while distinguishing the company as particularly diverse and accepting.

Mitt Willard Romney, named after J. Willard Marriot the founder of the chain, has extensive ties to them.

Aren’t the Marriotts Mormons? And good friends of the Romneys? I know they both have modest bungalows (/s) on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire quite near each other.

I am traveling this summer with my teen aged daughter. For a discount, I could pretend to be a perv!

But, my wife would probably think that is in poor taste.

I remembered 32 years ago when Marriott gave officer candidates attending OCS in Quantico a weekend special of 2 men to a room with a 6-pack of beer for $20.

For the following 30 years when I had the opportunity, I chose Marriott over their competitors.

No longer.

The main THRUST of the deals seem to be predicated upon AN URGE......

I guess the queers and progressives at the Marriot want to join in on AN URGE to THRUST with the customers and fudge pack.

I sure would not want to sleep on their sheets or mattresses after they left....even if they were washed 5 times.

This is another way we continuously engage in lying for the Lord ... just the way that Joseph Smith did ... by saying one thing and doing another ... because it generates lots of much appreciated money to help sustain our vast secret corporate empire!

Marriott promot[es] discounts to gay couples ... and is one of the largest of distributors porn in the world through its pay-per-view operations ... and is one of the largest dispensers of alcoholic beverages in the world through its vast network of bars ... and has extensive casino operations worldwide ... and is closely tied to the Mormon Church ... and is considered by many to be one of the Church's largest and most profitable commercial ventures.

This is something to remember the next time a Saint pounds on the table and boasts that his Church is honorable and filled with godly people because it denounces smoking, drinking and vice.

John Willard Marriott (September 17, 1900 – August 13, 1985) was an American entrepreneur and businessman. He was the founder of the Marriott Corporation (which became Marriott International in 1993).

Marriott was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and sought to share the church’s teachings with others by placing a copy of the Book of Mormon in each hotel room, alongside a copy a Gideon Bible—a tradition that has endured. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Willard_Marriott

John Willard “Bill” Marriott, Jr. (born March 25, 1932) is the Chairman of Marriott International. Marriott is the son of Alice Marriott and J. Willard Marriott, the founder of Marriott International.

He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In an episode of 60 Minutes airing on April 7, 1996 Marriott was interviewed by Mike Wallace regarding his faith alongside football star, Steve Young, and church leader, Gordon B. Hinckley.[2] In 1997 Marriott was called by the church to be an Area Authority Seventy and member of the Fifth Quorum of the Seventy.[3] This was split in 2004 and Marriott joined the newly-created Sixth Quorum of the Seventy, serving until his release on October 1, 2011.

On December 13, 2011, Marriott announced that he will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the company and relinquish the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective March 31, 2012 to Arne Sorenson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._Willard_Marriott

You remember when we covered everything in 2007 about Romney, here is his Marriot/Porn life.

“Some anti-pornography groups are demanding answers as to how much presidential candidate Mitt Romney knew about the Marriott hotel chain’s profits of pornography sales during his nearly ten years on the Board of Directors in the 1990’s.”
“Previous news accounts researched by The Brody File show that Romney was paid more than $100,000 per year while on the board of Marriott.
When he left in 2002, J.W. Marriott, Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Marriott International, called him, “an active, hands-on Director… From his first days on our Board nine years ago, Mitt has been an extraordinarily effective director and visionary leader.”

Mitt “Marriott” Romney
I am not unaware of my opponent’s considerable record in the area of civil rights, or the commitment of Massachusetts voters to the principle of equality for all Americans. For some voters it might be enough for me to simply match my opponent’s record in this area. But I believe we can and must do better. If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern. My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.

We have discussed a number of important issues such as the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which I have agreed to co-sponsor, and if possible broaden to include housing and credit, and the bill to create a federal panel to find ways to reduce gay and lesbian youth suicide, which I also support. One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share.

As we begin the final phase of this campaign, I need your support more than ever. By working together, we will achieve the goals we share for Massachusetts and our Nation.

Sincerely,
W. Mitt Romney

I feel sorry for you and for that once proud institution. I stopped giving to my own alma mater, UNH, years ago when they ran the queer flag up the pole and haven't stopped saluting it since. Just pitiful. Our states have gone to hell and only an intervention by God Himself will ever get them back.
