Democrats Are Jumping Ship
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 04/20/2012 | Masthead Editorial

Politics: Perhaps Democrats know something the rest of us don't about Barack Obama's political fortunes. What else explains the increasing numbers who are openly defying the president on two key election issues?

The notoriously thin-skinned Obama could not have been happy with the news last week that, as the Hill newspaper put it, "an increasing number of Democrats are taking potshots at President Obama's health care law."

North Carolina's Brad Miller, who voted for the law, now laments that "we would all have been better off" if Congress had dealt with more pressing issues "and then came back to health care."

Barney Frank complained that the Democrats "paid a terrible price for health care." And Virginia's outgoing Sen. Jim Webb said the law would be Obama's "biggest downside" in the election and had cost him "a lot of credibility as a leader."

Meanwhile, stalwart Massachusetts liberal Elizabeth Warren is now calling to repeal a piece of ObamaCare — the 2.3% tax on medical devices — because, she says, it "disproportionately impacts the small companies with the narrowest financial margins."

Warren, by the way, is running for the Senate seat occupied by Republican Scott Brown, whose victory in 2010 was a result of the public's intense opposition...

--snip--

This fear is even more evident when you look at the growing opposition among Democrats to Obama's position on the Keystone XL pipeline.

Obama may have thought he'd cleverly handled the issue by putting it off until next year, and that no one would think to defy his veto threats.

But when Republicans called his bluff with a bill to force a start on construction, 69 Democrats rushed to join them, giving the House bill a veto-proof majority. The Senate bill is just a vote or two away from overcoming a Democratic filibuster...

Wow - so I guess the truth finally comes out.

Everyone hates Obamacare - but they’re going to try to force it on us anyway.

Another day in Obamaland....

Well, as far as Romney being the nominee...we still don't know that for an absolute certainty yet. Newt hasn't dropped out, and some are speculating why SarahPac has reserved some space at the convention.

I would agree that the government has continued to grow larger, but thank God their are serious conservatives offering serious plans to CUT spending and pay down the debt. Paul Ryan comes to mind. To accomplish this, we're going to have to vote out establishment types like McConnell, Boehner, and Hatch. Speaking of which, things aren't looking too good for our Senator Hatch. He thought he's was just going to skate into his next term. Well, it looks like he has a serious primary challenger in Dan Liljenquist (Strong Constitutionalist). Not sure who's going to win this, but this was very encouraging to folks like me who want to see RINOS, and old “Go along to get along” Republicans sent out to pasture.

So, I guess it's safe to say that you won't be voting in the presidential race if Romney is the GOP nominee? I, along with the likes of Rush, Levin, Palin and others will vote for whichever GOP candidate wins the primary. While I'm pi$$ed to have to potentially vote for Romney, at least he doesn't hate the country, capitalism, or our allies.

If I held the same belief as you, that our nation is doomed no matter what, I would not be able to get out of bed in the morning.

But hey, if this outlook floats your boat, who am I to try and convince you otherwise?

I’m betting that Kagan and or Sotomayor or both let on to Buckwheat that Obamacare is toast at the SC.

From what I've gathered, images of the half-nekkid rookie Hussein were banned soon after this photo was taken. Getting the truth out seems to be very difficult.

Using your logic it’s a wash as the ones leaving Obama are going to support Romney.

I think Obamaland is where the people living in Obamaville go to forget their worries.

Unlike Disneyland, the admission price goes up depending on what you make and what Race you happen to be.

If you make too much, or just have a job, you have to buy tickets for anyone that shows up with an Obama Hoodie, or an EBT Card or a DNC Membership Card.

The longest wait for a ride is for “It's Obama’s World”.

It's Obama after all
It's Obama after all
It's Obama after all
IT'S OBAMA'S WORLD AFTER ALL...

You will never get the tune out of your head.

My favorite ride is “Mr. Zimmerman's Wild Ride (to his Lynching)”.

Yes, along with taking the Senate and increasing our majority in the House.
Been there done that with GW Bush and we didn't even get a frigg'n Tee shirt.

We've never been able to tell the difference between a Democrat Senator or a Republicn Senator...If Romney is elected...well, we already can't tell the difference with him and he's not even nominated or elected.

Our only hope with your scenario is that an increase in the house would, hopefully, block all of the establisment lunacy from the "Republican" President and the "Republican" controlled Senate.

They've been running on everything but their record.

Obama runs as the guy who is too nice to kick out. The sooner we realize that his campaign is actually based upon his likability factor, the sooner we can put out the right fire. He is constantly being pushed as the wonderful family man, the man with such a genuine smile (barf), the man who is so soooo nice. He is put forth as humble and nearly, if not, sinless. They want people to so like him that they just cannot pull themselves to the task of not voting for him. He is being run as the man who must be doing things right or he wouldn't be so confident, happy and nice, the man we must trust, even if we don't understand why things don't seem to be going well. He must know something that we don't. A god, we should trust him no matter what (barf).

If we can show his not so nice side, somehow, which we well know he has, to the Nation than we will beat him easily. This is where we should concentrate some effort. It is not so much about politics, as far as they are concerned, but about a created cult of personality.
