So voting a black man into office elevated his victim status? But not voting him into office would have elevated his victim status, too? So regardless of whether he wins (and then they imply white people, including his security detail want to hurt him) or loses (implying that Americans can’t stand to see a black man succeed) in 2012, it elevates his victim status. And his ‘tenure’ as a retired president will be constantly evaluated (insinuating that white people want to hurt him or his legacy)for ‘further’ signs of ‘institutional racism’.

Apparently all you’d have to do is scan the local golf course or junk food joint to see him.

I’ve never seen the tell-tale straps under any of his shirts.

Skinny or not, those vests show.

Uh, thanks for the info that the Secret Service agents are armed...except that I and everyone else already knew that, LOL.

My question was about whether Cummings was referring to Secret Service agents, or other people. It seems clear that he was in fact talking about the SS. He should be grilled about this on the House floor, and anywhere else possible.

Tells you how thin the dude is. The pictures of an exceedingly gaunt Obama that you see on Drudge et al weren't cooked up by the KKK ~ they are the real deal.

Then, too, there've been improvements in bullet resistant vests.

Perhaps Rep. Cummings (D-MD) needs a history lesson. Caligula was the third emperor of Rome (37-41 A.D.). This guy was a certifiable lunatic and sociopath that killed hundreds for sport, married his sister, had himself and his sister declared gods by the Roman Senate, murdered his sister and unborn son, and made his horse a Roman Senator. Eventually, the Praetorian Guard (emperor's bodyguard) decided it was time for him to go away and murdered him with a great deal of enthusiasm.

Having killed their boss, the Praetorian Guard realized they'd just murdered their way out of jobs. Members of the Guard found Caligula's uncle Claudius hiding behind a tapestry in the palace and had him crowned emperor. To everyone’s surprise, Claudius was a remarkably good administrator of the Empire (41-54 A.D.) until his wife, Agrippina, poisoned him to make way for her son, Nero. To show his appreciation for her good work, Nero murdered his mother as a reward.

He is the perfect liberal candidate.

Totally Teflon.

Everybody has to walk on PC eggs the whole time he’s in office.

It’s a fiendishly brilliant strategy, really.

That’s because GW was afraid of maniacal democrats whereas
Obama needn’t worry about maniacal Republicans. Any more questions?

``...Only two conclusions can be drawn, either he wants the Secret Service disarmed`...`

Panetta`s been there done that, disarmed troops around him in Afghanistan, remember?

It wasn't about the agents themselves arming themselves, it was the whole concept of their being armed by the government to do certain jobs.

Cummings might well think you can get people to guard the President UNARMED!

You really need to check out the thread as a whole before jumping on the trivia.

Now, your point ~ was Cummings talking about Secret Service agents?

Yes, I am sure he was talking about Secret Service agents ~ but he's a crazy old man who has bizarre thoughts about all sorts of things.

I instantly leaped to the conclusion he imagined the President could be guarded by guys without firearms!

We don’t know do we ~ which means whatever he’s wearing may be secret, but he’s also gotten thinner ~ maybe he’s worn off down to his stainless steal human shell. Dude could be an alien from outerspace.

Gosh, this is definitely a reason to not re-elect him. Then no one has to worry about guns near him. Send him home to Chicago. Isn’t that a “gun-free” city?
