Was April 22 chosen to celebrate Earth Day because it's the birthday of that notable environmentalist Vladimir Lenin? Probably not. If you're wondering whether the brutal Soviet dictator had anything to do with putting the Earth first; he didn't. But he certainly put oppressive government first. Consequently, critics of what has become the environmental movement's High Holy Day note a discomforting correlation, even if unintended. . . .

Earth day...what a joke.
Does the Earth really need a day? What is a day anyway? It is one revolution of *THE EARTH*! So we are choosing one of those 365 revolutions and saying “this revolution is for the Earth”. Ya know what...maybe they *ALL* belong to the Earth since the Earth causes them in the first place. This is starting to sound like a Jerry Seinfeld routine so I guess I’ll stop ranting now.
I’m going to turn on so much crap that the temp of the earth will raise by three degrees instantly. /s

As a celebration of Earth Day, I personally recommend burning some old tires or high sulfur content coal.
