Democrats Vote to ‘Force’ Unionization of Daycare Providers in CT
Breitbart ^ | 4/23/12 | Dr. Susan Berry

Under the guise of granting higher wages and healthcare benefits to daycare providers and personal care attendants, Connecticut’s Democratic-led state House has passed a bill that will force these workers to collectively bargain with the state.

However, the director of the Connecticut chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP)said on Friday that the measure, proposed as an amendment to another bill, will force daycare providers to unionize with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). According to JR Romano of AFP in Connecticut, the bill is “a direct assault on female business owners.”

State Sen. Edith Prague (D- Working Families Party) and State Rep. Zeke Zalaski (D-Working Families Party), who co-chair the Labor and Public Employees Committee, introduced an amendment that will essentially put a stop to a lawsuit against Gov. Dannel Malloy (D-Working Families Party), who issued two executiveorders forcing a “card check” voting system for unionization of daycare workers and personal care attendants.

The executive orders drew considerable criticism from opponents who accused Gov. Malloy of overstepping his authority in issuing them. An organization called We, the People of Connecticut and the conservative think tank, Yankee Institute for Public Policy, both filed lawsuits against the governor. In addition, daycare workers, personal care attendants, and people with disabilities have charged that unionization would increase wages and costs for daycare and attendant services, leading to a reduction in services and putting of a union in the personal relationship between service providers and their customers. Most owners of daycare businesses, in particular, are women.

Gov. Malloy and the Democrats were able to manipulate a union deal because many personal care attendants are paid through a Medicaid waiver system and some daycare providers receive payment through the Care 4 Kids program.

Unions are nothing more than communists inspired organizations in disguise. Currently they hold the status of a shadow government and have a very strong influence on the Federal Government with King Obama and his empire sanctioning them.

“The Democrats war on women continues.......”

It's a sardonic way for the RATs to force females with children out of the work force. The RATs must feel that it's OK to make this move now after they have projected their hatred of women with children onto the Republicans.

Andy Stern hard at work.

Is Stern still the most frequent visitor to the WH?

I believe the logs showed this, but didn't the WH start to disallow the public from viewing the logs?

Wisconsin governor Walker has fixed the state and limited forced labor camps, sorry union membership, now the unions are spending 70+ million to regain a strangle hold on the state. How about limit the funds available to just those generated in the state and not the deep pockets nationwide.

So once again tax dollars are used to support a money laundering scheme between the Dems and the Unions. The funds are collected by the Unions as dues and donated to the Dems campaign coffers.

so....stay at home moms are not worthy of the title “working woman”

But....other people who watch kids during the day that aren’t their kids are worthy of a fat inflated unionized guranteed salary with cushy bennies and retirement

I know he was. Now it is hard to say, they got their Government Motors deal and Stern left his union post for the payola he was probably promised.

Women are the useful idiots of the Democratic party but the real money(/power) comes from either the unions or the bankers so when push comes to shove the useful idiots always get run over.
