A Tennessee Fireman's Solution to Climate Change (let's make the deniers pay)
Forbes ^ | 19 April 2012 | Steve Zwick

Posted on 04/23/2012 10:12:40 AM PDT by CounterCounterCulture

Let’s take a page from those Tennessee firemen we heard about a few times last year – the ones who stood idly by as houses burned to the ground because their owners had refused to pay a measly $75 fee.

We can apply this same logic to climate change.

We know who the active denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies. Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay. Let’s let their houses burn until the innocent are rescued*. Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands. Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices.

They broke the climate. Why should the rest of us have to pay for it?

“Power comes out of the barrel of a gun!” is an absurd ralling cry when the other side has all the guns. - Saul Alinsky

One man with a gun can control 100 without one - V. Lenin

These are probably the two most telling quotes regarding leftists and the use of power. Right now the leftists have the military in their control. Many leftists think that they now have the guns and want to use them.

I think those that believe it it should pay for it not those that do not.

My point in a nutshell!

Also, I should have added Salvey’s point (post #8) to my list. Your summary covers that as well.

And who is to decide whether a famine was caused by "climate change," as if famines never occured before the industrial age?

I have no doubt famines do occur and will continue to occur, and you can look at the policies of the environmentalists themselves, the so-called and self-appointed saviors of the planet, who starve farmers of water to protect other species, like the delta smelt, who "protect" the forest with their anti-logging and anti-private properties policies by making them more prone to larger fires, who want to remove dams, thus making water scarcer when needed and making lands more prone to flooding.

In other parts of the world where you see famines, you often find warlords and dictators (those whom the far left tend to protect and defend from the so-called imperialistic Americans) as being the main causes of mass starvation.

As far as I'm concerned, famines are more likely to happen because of the environmentalists and their totalitarian leftist activist friends.

Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands.

LOL!! Given that the North Pole is all ice and won't raise the sea level, let's turn tot he South Pole--whose total ice mass melts by half every year and doesn't raise levels one bit. If the other half melts, we won't notice that, either.

There will be no ocean levels rising due to "climate change"

Are their houses still standing? If so why?

Warm water takes up more volume than cool water.

Thermal expansion.

There is no need for ice to melt off land and into water for ocean levels to rise.

That being said - we didn't have catastrophic ocean level rises during the Medieval Warm Period - and it is not yet that warm.

Wake me when they are growing wine grapes in England again - then we might be warming up enough for it to actually be a problem. Until then.......

In the 1600’s oppression over Religious views led to a mass exodusm from the old world to the new world.

In the mid 2000’s Oppression over Environmental views led to a mass exodus from the earth to the moon.

It was only later when rocks started falling on the fools in the “old world” did the idiots realize their mistake in ignoring the climate skeptics.

In a field (climate alarmism) already overrun with idiots and loonies (Al Gore, call your office), this guy’s article is without a doubt one of the absolute stupidest I’ve ever read.

The real climate tragedy is that we invest some infinitesimal portion of it (in the form of oxygen) supporting his life functions.

There's an addendum added to the article, in which he disclaims advocacy of having people actually go and burn down the houses of deniers and, presumably, skeptics.

Sure, good idea, I'll agree on one condition. When global warming is finally exposed for the hoax it really is, the promoters of this B.S. must stand for public humiliation (old-fashioned stocks in the town square) or mild floggings, with the number of weeks of punishment in direct correlation to the number of printed or spoken words on the subject. Al Gore would be first, James Hansen second.
