After arguing with MSNBC contributor and former chairman of the RNC Michael Steele over Mitt Romney being a "flat-earther," Chris Matthews called the Republican party the "Grand Wizard crowd."
Michael Steele called out Matthews, who eventually doubled-down on his remark.
"I resent that. What is this 'grand wizard' nonsense?" Steele asked.
"I should say the far-right party," Matthews retorted.

Say whatever you want Chris. It doesn’t change the fact that you are a no ratings Commie Pinko shill for the Regime.
These “people” have mental disorders.
Chance for Steele to knock it out of the park with “I believe the only Klansman in congress was a DEMOCRAT.” Did he do it...... nope.
Steele agrees that GOP convention looked like Nazi Germany"
We live in a bizzare world. The Democrats actually are the “Grand Wizard crowd” given that the Democrat Party set up and had a symbiotic relationship with the KKK for a century. Today the KKK is just filled with cranks and kooks and isn’t relevant. Yet the Dems pretend it is so they can claim the Republicans are “Grand Wizards.” The evidence is clear — the KKK was only a relevant force in American life when it supported and received support from the Democrat Party. Once they abandoned it, the KKK became irrelevant. It was NEVER a Republican tool and isn’t today.
Chrissie, you ignorant slut.
It’s the old ‘racism’ meme. Obama is so weak that it’s going to be all they have left by August. It will fail, just like Chris Matthew’s lame TV program that few watch.
Yet who is the crowd that would love to hang Zimmerman?
“The evidence is clear the KKK was only a relevant force in American life when it supported and received support from the Democrat Party. Once they abandoned it, the KKK became irrelevant. It was NEVER a Republican tool and isnt today.”
The Gutless Old Party wasted the opportunity years ago to never let America forget this. Now it’s just assumed that Democrats are not the KKK or Nazis, even though THEY ARE.
Chris is once again projecting...it has always been hard for the party of Jim Crowe to just “moveon”.
I would rather be the Grand Wizard Party than the Communist Dictatorship Party.
Pray for America
I’m saving that one. They don’t call the democratic party the slavery party for nothing.
White Haus internals are showing der Führer has nothing. Memo to State Media machine: “Make it about skin color”
Weak.
Can't wait for the day that this insufferable moron winds up in Keeeth Overbite's basement, crying on each other's shoulders.
The last Klan recruiter, Robert KKK Byrd, was welcomed with open Democrat arms!!
I’d rather be part of the “Grand Wizard” crowd, then part of the “Grand Circus” crowd.
I find them and pass them on so others can pass them on so others can ....
But the only KKKer in the Senate was a Democrat.. Go figure
Then when you add in all the Communist that are in office as Democrats...
It give’s sissy a gay thrill of his “leg” to say outrageous and fabulous things. He so smaaart.
Jim Crow was installed by the Southern Democratic Party.
Feed him his Cream-of-Wheat, wipe the drool and tuck him in.
What is it about the DNC and classic projection?
Never mind that the KKK were Democrats.
Hey Chrissy, you retard! What party promoted segregation? What party had Robert Byrd in it? Chrissy and his party are a bunch of hypocrits!
A True or False test for Black Democrats
A True or False test consists of a series of statements to be identified as either true or false. True or False tests present an exclusive disjunction (i.e., a pair of alternatives of which only one is acceptable). A simple way to state this is: One or the other but not both. Usually there are more true answers than false on most tests. Finally, since there is no guessing penalty and you have a 50% chance of getting the right answer, feel free to guess.
Statement #1
Dred Scott was born a slave in Virginia. In 1832, after following his owners to Missouri, U.S. Army Major John Emerson, stationed just outside of St. Louis, purchased Scott. In an April 1846 action when Dred Scott made his mark with an X, signing his petition in a pro forma freedom suit under Missouri law, to sue for freedom in the St. Louis Circuit Court, his case lit a fire that would not be extinguished until the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863.
In 1857, the Democratically controlled United States Supreme Court decided the Dred Scott Decision. Here is a quote from that decision announcing that Negroes (i.e., Black Americans) had no rights which the white man was bound to respect; and that the Negro might justly and lawfully be reduced to slavery for his benefit. 2
While the Supreme Court has never reversed the Dred Scott case, the Supreme Court has stated in the Slaughter-House Cases of 1873 that the Fourteenth Amendment overruled at least one part of it in 1868.

Statement #2
In 1860, the Republican Party Platform boldly condemned the Fugitive Slave Law and the Dred Scott decision and announced its intent to end slavery and secure equal and civil rights for Black Americans. In 1865, attorney Charles Drake, a leader of the Radical Republican Party after the Civil War helped author Missouris state constitution that took away many of the rights, including enfranchisement, enjoyed by Southern sympathizers.

Statement #3
In 1860 the Democratic Party Platform boldly supported the Fugitive Slave Law and the Dred Scott decision and in an effort to affirm their belief that it was their right to have and hold Black Americans in bondage, proudly distributed copies of the Dred Scott ruling with their party platform. 6 According to the speech of John Hossack, (who was convicted of violating the Fugitive Slave Law), while standing before Judge Drummond, of the United States District Court of Chicago, the parties who prostituted the constitution to the support of slavery, are traitors.
True or False. Your Answer Goes Here: __________
NOTE: The answers in this test are all: True.
We Cannot Escape History
According to David Barton: It is worth noting that for over a century-and-a-half, Democrats often have taken a position that some human life is disposable as they did in the Dred Scott decision. In that instance, a Black individual was not a life, it was property; and an individual could do with his property as he wished. Today Democrats have largely taken the same position on the unborn human life that an unborn human is disposable property to do with as one wishes. Even our Supreme Court has mentioned its own Pro-Slavery Dred Scott Decision fifty-six (56) times over more than 150 years since issuing their opinion that Black Americans could be owned as property.
I would have thought the United States Supreme Court would be ashamed to even acknowledge, let alone mention, its own ignominious Dred Scott Decision in public. However, I would have also thought that Black Americans would never join the party of the Ku Klux Klan. If Marcia Cavell is right and hope is the other side of history, I fear that neither the Republican nor the Democratic Parties are on the right side of this equation.
Brothers, we really need to talk.
During the Garfield vs. Hancock election a handbill was passed out as a reminder of who the Democrats were. It would be considered inflammatory language today, but if you were at age to still remember the Civil War and was handed this handbill, it was very profound and true.
Why I will not Vote for the Democratic Ticket
I am opposed to the Democratic Party, and I will tell you why.
Every State that seceded from the United States was a Democratic State.
Every man that shot Union soldiers was a Democrat.
Every man that loves slavery better than Liberty was a Democrat.
The man that assassinated Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat.
Every man that sympathized with the assassin every man glad that the noblest President ever elected was assassinated was a Democrat
Every man that wept over the corps of [end of] slavery was a Democrat.
Every man that cursed Lincoln because he issued the Proclamation of Emancipation the grandest paper since the Declaration of Independence every one of them was a Democrat.
Soldiers! Every scar you have got on your heroic bodies was given you by a Democrat. Every scar, every arm that is lacking, every limb that is gone, every scar is a souvenir of a Democrat.
The handbill then contrasted Republican and Democrats:
The Republicans have done some noble things things that will be remembered as long as there is history. But there are some things they did not do.
They did not use an army to force slavery into Kansas
They did not oppose emancipation/
They were not Ku-Klux
They did not scourge, and hang, and shoot, and murder men for opinions sake.
They did not organize the Louisiana white league or the South Carolina rifle clubs
They did not drench the South with the blood of inoffensive colored men
The Left would be demanding his job and his head for a racially inflammatory statement to a distinguished African American.
