Chelsea Clinton has a problem.
The former first daughters new job as a correspondent for NBC News has gotten off to a rocky start and, after just two on-air pieces (thus far) for Rock Center with Brian Williams and the NBC Nightly News, she has become the target of withering criticism from inside the TV world.
And its only getting worse.
A piece headlined Chelsea Clinton, TVs Dork Diva, Struggles at NBC that appeared last week on the media site buzzfeed.com has renewed questions about her qualifications for the job and NBCs motives for hiring her.

Why can’t the Clintons just go away since the rapist and the female (?) liar we able to skip prison.
I wondered why so many people fell into the unseemly trap of ridiculing Clinton’s daughter based on her appearance when her parents’ behavior was relevant to the public sphere and ripe with ridicule worthy behavior.
(e.g., if you don’t like your neighbor’s politics - do you ridicule their kids based on their appearance?)
If her parents had been wise republicans, would Chelsea still be the object of cosmetic scorn?
I think the kid had it rough enough just BEING the child of those worthless power hungry idiots, I don’t see following her through life barking at her.
I read this three times and DON’T see where the dog related...OH! never mind...
god she looks just like her mom. and that’s not a good thing.
She can’t hold a real job either. Just like her ski-bum hubby.
Poor Webb, it must break his heart to see his daughter struggle such...
“....questions about her qualifications for the job and NBCs motives for hiring her.”
Are qualifications really necessary? What about her mom’s?
Does she even need to pretend to work?
Chelsea is not easy on the eyes...and her personality does not erase that disadvantage.
She looks like her daddy, Webb...she'll do fine in radio and on the internet (if she actually decides to work).
Reality sucks...but it rules!
I thought this was about the Champions League semi-final return leg match against Barca.
This ordinary young woman would be fetching coffee at a construction company except for her name.
It’s the industry she chose—the MSM—that is ridiculing her.
“she has become the target of withering criticism from inside the TV world.”
We’re just piling on.
She’s been given all the advantages that accrue to the offspring of power elite: the Sidwell school, private undergraduate (pass/fail twit training) school, friendships, contacts and references ... and she has overcome it all by being overwhelmingly less than mediocre.
And even with cosmetic surgery, at her tender age, the poor creature just doesn’t, I say, I say, the poor thing could make a freight train jump track for a dirt road.
Lecture someone else who doesn’t care, maybe over at the DUmpster about leaving the Palins and their public school raised kids alone.
If her name were Chelsea Clifton, she'd have none of that.
What you don't get is, that she will be following you through life, barking at you.
Chelsea is getting her “ticket punched.” She’ll be in elective politics in 10 years or so with what will look like an impressive resume... as long as you don’t look too closely at it. Sort of like her mother.
Her last report was about wasting perfectly good food? I would almost watch her spew drivel out of some weird perverse pleasure but I am not that masochistic. Trying to remember the last time I actually watched something on NBC beyond channel surfing and I honestly cannot. Probably Seinfeld in the mid 1990s.
She better keep her distance from Obama if he’s hungry.
Questions? She wasn't qualified, and her last name was Clinton.
Feminism was invented so ugly women could have power, for two generations.
Pray for America
I’ve always been saying that she would have come out better looking if her mother had been Hillary instead of Webb Hubbell!
Partial quote of Tumblindice:

Were just piling on.
Yeah the industry she chose but since when do we align with the MSM? The MSM is not posting dog jokes on this thread.
I am not jealous of her education or wealth. (Oh I like money but it doesn’t ‘burn’ me that she has it). She’s not the only person who’s ever gotten a job because of their last name - especially not in media. She didn’t displace a republican out of a fair chance at landing a job with the MSM - as far as I know she must have displaced some relative of Michael Moore or some other liberal out of a job. I am not saying that I would tolerate offensive behavior on her part or unethical behavior etc. I am just pointing out that it’s odd to see Republicans carrying on the same way people went after the Bush daughters. I didn’t like it then and it hasn’t grown on me since then. I think it’s fine if she sinks in her current position because she does not have the qualifications - let her sink and give her no special favors. I think it makes us (conservatives) look weak if we ‘have’ to attack the cosmetic appearance of the kid of debauched power hungry narcissists. I don’t mind being alone in this regard - I am just surprised.
[Sort of like her mother.]
And the current occupant of the White Hut.
She has put herself in the public eye. To say she gets a pass for being the child of a politically elite public is nonsense. If she had become a doctor like (I heard) she wanted to and practiced quietly...then you’d have a point.
Chelsea Clinton.......the new Helen Thomas.
I didn’t say she should get a pass for being the child of political elites - I suggested that there’s no point in punishing her just because she is the child of political elites. I then said ‘let her sink’ if she is not qualified for the job, no special favors etc.
