War on Chelsea (Another dog-related controversy...)

Chelsea Clinton has a problem.

The former first daughter’s new job as a correspondent for NBC News has gotten off to a rocky start — and, after just two on-air pieces (thus far) for “Rock Center with Brian Williams” and the “NBC Nightly News,” she has become the target of withering criticism from inside the TV world.

And it’s only getting worse.

A piece headlined “Chelsea Clinton, TV’s Dork Diva, Struggles at NBC” that appeared last week on the media site buzzfeed.com has renewed questions about her qualifications for the job — and NBC’s motives for hiring her.

Yeah the industry she chose but since when do we align with the MSM? The MSM is not posting dog jokes on this thread.

I am not jealous of her education or wealth. (Oh I like money but it doesn’t ‘burn’ me that she has it). She’s not the only person who’s ever gotten a job because of their last name - especially not in media. She didn’t displace a republican out of a fair chance at landing a job with the MSM - as far as I know she must have displaced some relative of Michael Moore or some other liberal out of a job. I am not saying that I would tolerate offensive behavior on her part or unethical behavior etc. I am just pointing out that it’s odd to see Republicans carrying on the same way people went after the Bush daughters. I didn’t like it then and it hasn’t grown on me since then. I think it’s fine if she sinks in her current position because she does not have the qualifications - let her sink and give her no special favors. I think it makes us (conservatives) look weak if we ‘have’ to attack the cosmetic appearance of the kid of debauched power hungry narcissists. I don’t mind being alone in this regard - I am just surprised.

She has put herself in the public eye. To say she gets a pass for being the child of a politically elite public is nonsense. If she had become a doctor like (I heard) she wanted to and practiced quietly...then you’d have a point.

I didn’t say she should get a pass for being the child of political elites - I suggested that there’s no point in punishing her just because she is the child of political elites. I then said ‘let her sink’ if she is not qualified for the job, no special favors etc.
