Romney Still Needs Almost 500 Delegates to Clinch GOP Nomination
CBS NEWS ^ | /12/2012 | Jennifer DePinto

Even though Romney's chief rival, Rick Santorum, has suspended his campaign, states continue to hold primaries. There are five contests on April 24th with 219 delegates at stake; but even if Romney won every single delegate that day he would be far short of 1,144. Wyoming and Missouri are holding conventions before April 24th where Romney may pick up some delegates but even winning all of them wouldn't bring him much closer to the magic number.

Looking ahead, Romney would need to win about 80 percent of the delegates available in the April and May events to possibly clinch on May 29th when Texas holds its primary with 152 delegates at stake. If Romney won 90 percent of the delegates in April and through May 22nd he may still come up short of the 1,144 and need delegates from Texas' primary on May 29th.

Romney the Backstabber has used his usual dirt and tricks anticipating coronation to Emperor Etch-a-Sketch.

Willard may be the first presidential candidate in history to campaign for the office while actually looking past the presidency, to becoming a god on his own planet.

Or so I've heard.

Then there's Slick Willie, who still harbors a candle for the hope of becoming General Secretary of the UN, then President of the World (by getting control of the U.S. armed forces from Pres. Hildebeast), and finally God Emperor of Earth -- right out of Frank Herbert. (And maybe John the Evangelist.)

But Willard's glide from presidency to godhead would be a lot smoother, or so I read.

Isn’t it amazing that out of all the candidates the RNC could have picked they chose the very one that could not run against socialized medicine?

I've posted in here several times that the fix went in for socialized medicine before the 2008 election. Howell Raines (former New York Times editor-in-chief, who knows a few people) wrote an article in the October, 2008 issue of Conde Nast's Portfolio, that the double-domers at the economic-conservative think tanks (American Enterprise Institute, Cato, etc.) did the deal for the GOP with their faculty counterparts at various LibRat-infested elite universities, that America "should" have socialized medicine.

The impetus on the GOP side came from Fortune 500 CEO's who were screaming bloody murder about their healthcare costs -- they wanted their workers DUMPED, and dumped NOW, onto the government and off their books forever. They were quite vocal about it, going on various business TV shows to Put Out the Word.

The GOP is playing to lose on Obamacare, and always has been .... Obamacare is Off the Table, Punk -- because the Money-GOP wants it that way. Triage, bad care, death panels, shortened lifespans -- they don't care. They're rich, and they can pay for the best medical care in the world. The people can go to hell, let them eat Obamacare.

Is it starting to sink in yet, that Boehner has been playing to lose from the start, by changing the conversation right after the 2010 Tea Party elections from repeal of Obamacare to playing footsie over budget and debt-ceiling issues? What part of "Screw You!" does everybody not understand?

What is much harder to imagine is that all of these non-Romney votes will coalesce into a bloc for Newt.

What is NOT hard to imagine is that all of these non-Romney votes will coalesce into a bloc for SOMEONE!

The Doctrine and Covenants

Section 132

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet, at Nauvoo, Illinois, recorded 12 July 1843, relating to the new and everlasting covenant, including the eternity of the marriage covenant, and also the plurality of wives (see History of the Church, 5:501–7). Although the revelation was recorded in 1843, it is evident from the historical records that the doctrines and principles involved in this revelation had been known by the Prophet since 1831.

1–6, Exaltation is gained through the new and everlasting covenant; 7–14, The terms and conditions of that covenant are set forth; 15–20, Celestial marriage and a continuation of the family unit enable men to become gods; 21–25, The strait and narrow way leads to eternal lives; 26–27, The law is given relative to blasphemy against the Holy Ghost; 28–39, Promises of eternal increase and exaltation are made to prophets and Saints in all ages; 40–47, Joseph Smith is given the power to bind and seal on earth and in heaven; 48–50, The Lord seals upon him his exaltation; 51–57, Emma Smith is counseled to be faithful and true; 58–66, Laws governing the plurality of wives are set forth.

16Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in amarriage; but are appointed angels in bheaven, which angels are ministering cservants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.

17For these angels did not abide my law; therefore, they cannot be enlarged, but remain separately and singly, without exaltation, in their saved condition, to all eternity; and from henceforth are not gods, but are aangels of God forever and ever.

18And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife, and make a covenant with her for time and for all eternity, if that acovenant is not by me or by my word, which is my law, and is not sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, through him whom I have anointed and appointed unto this power, then it is not valid neither of force when they are out of the world, because they are not joined by me, saith the Lord, neither by my word; when they are out of the world it cannot be received there, because the angels and the gods are appointed there, by whom they cannot pass; they cannot, therefore, inherit my glory; for my house is a house of order, saith the Lord God.

19And again, verily I say unto you, if a man amarry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and beverlasting covenant, and it is csealed unto them by the Holy Spirit of dpromise, by him who is anointed, unto whom I have appointed this power and the ekeys of this priesthood; and it shall be said unto them—Ye shall come forth in the first resurrection; and if it be after the first resurrection, in the next resurrection; and shall inherit fthrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, all heights and depths—then shall it be written in the Lamb’s gBook of Life, that he shall commit no hmurder whereby to shed innocent iblood, and if ye abide in my covenant, and commit no murder whereby to shed innocent blood, it shall be done unto them in all things whatsoever my servant hath put upon them, in time, and through all eternity; and shall be of full force when they are out of the world; and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their jexaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the kseeds forever and ever.

20 Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from aeverlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be bgods, because they have call power, and the angels are subject unto them.

21Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye abide my alaw ye cannot attain to this glory.

22For astrait is the gate, and narrow the bway that leadeth unto the exaltation and continuation of the clives, and few there be that find it, because ye receive me not in the world neither do ye know me.

23But if ye receive me in the world, then shall ye know me, and shall receive your exaltation; that awhere I am ye shall be also.

24This is aeternal lives—to bknow the only wise and true God, and Jesus Christ, whom he hath csent. I am he. Receive ye, therefore, my law.

25aBroad is the gate, and wide the way that leadeth to the bdeaths; and many there are that go in thereat, because they creceive me not, neither do they abide in my law.

Very interesting!!

In December 2010, the LDS Church made changes to the non-canonical chapter summaries and also to some of the footnotes in its online version of the Book of Mormon. In Second Nephi chapter 5, the original wording was: "Because of their unbelief, the Lamanites are cursed, receive a skin of blackness, and become a scourge unto the Nephites."

The phrase, "skin of blackness" was removed and became: "Because of their unbelief, the Lamanites are cut off from the presence of the Lord, are cursed, and become a scourge unto the Nephites."[26]

The second change appears in summary of Mormon chapter 5. Formerly, it included the phrase that "the Lamanites shall be a dark, filthy, and loathsome people ..." The new version deleted the phrase "dark, loathsome, and filthy" and now reads, "... the Lamanites will be scattered, and the Spirit will cease to strive with them."[26][27]

These changes are seen by some critics to be another step in the evolution of the text of the Book of Mormon to delete racist language from it.[26] On the other hand, some believers in the Book of Mormon, such as Marvin Perkins, see these changes as better conforming the chapter headers and footnotes to the meaning of the text in light of the LDS Church's 1978 Revelation on Priesthood.[28] In an interview, a former BYU graduate student suggested that the changes were made for "clarity, a change in emphasis and to stick closer to the scriptural language."[26]

No changes to the PRINTED version? I guess 'research' into MORMON 'scripture' online is biting headquarters in the BUTT!

2 Nephi 5:21 'And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people, the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.'

Alma 3:6 'And the skins of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion against their brethren, who consisted of Nephi, Jacob and Joseph, and Sam, who were just and holy men.'

They may have changed the SUMMARY, but the 'scripture' still reads...

MORMON 5

15 And also that the seed of this people may more fully believe his gospel, which shall go forth unto them from the Gentiles; for this people shall be scattered, and shall become a dark, a filthy, and a loathsome people, beyond the description of that which ever hath been amongst us, yea, even that which hath been among the Lamanites, and this because of their unbelief and idolatry.

16 For behold, the Spirit of the Lord hath already ceased to strive with their fathers; and they are without Christ and God in the world; and they are driven about as chaff before the wind.

You RDS types put the PDS types to shame. It’s not a lock in CT? Really? I will avoid a baseball analogy, but I can hear Rosie warming up. I hate Mittens, Mormonism, and his disdain for conservatives. I will not vote for Mittens. I will however, vote against Obama. Romney will be the unintended beneficiary of my vote, which I will cast to stave off our destruction for a few more years.

Thanks for the good post. Think I'll link this to the Texas state board. The Texas FReepers will like this one. They have no idea how much Willard is honoring us by gaming and screwing with our "support".

One FReeper posted about a certain Texas county having shifted a lot of votes from Santorum to Romney because Santorum dropped out after Foster Friess (as some FReepers had warned on the general forum) cut off his financial support of Santorum.

People on FR have commented on Gingrich's seeming inability to attract votes ..... it comes back to me that Gingrich was said, last year before he declared, to be one of the most hated pols in America, utterly hated by women regardless of party, because of that Democrat roorback about his throwing divorce papers on a dying woman's hospital bed. (Which his daughters, who were there, have denied happened.) If true, it's a new benchmark in the political history of The Big Lie.

Some say that Romney can only hold this off a few months...into 2013 maybe, at most and a stretch 14 before it all crumbles.

If they’re right in their projections...and I believe possible if we’re lucky...Romney won’t be the reason for the delay....much rests on how Europe handles their situation and how much the Federal Reserve keeps printing....they’ll be another Tarp by fall this year. But all are running on debt Internationally.
