Not at all - it was very effective.

It got under your skin, for sure.

While much of what you say is undeniably true, false charges would not lead to suicide. There had to be a certain amount of guilt, fear, shame, and - worst - having to face those who he’d hurt. Not to mention in this case loss of livelihood. Suicide is, imo, the cowardly way out, not generally committed by the innocent, absent mental problems.

the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household.

You would be hard pressed to convince 'Christians' They are being judged now....note the scripture says 'Begins' with God's Household"........Until those who are called by his name...pray and seek his face and turn away from the practices of liberalism and all other manner of offenses to God within the body of Christ... the churches will remain powerless to stem the tide we see over this nation....lip service isn't getting the work done of taking the stand He has asked us to.

There is a time of Peace and a Time of War against the foes.....the church has 'failed' to identity the enemy as well as the times....there is also a time for Love and a time for hating the actions and behaviors of our own as much as those in the world....the stand must take place within the churches before it can impact the world.

I tend to agree with you especially because of the time line involved before his death, and the police investigations of a possible crime against a 10yr. old girl...and White taking his life.

Something was amiss to be sure...and I don't think this had to do with him thinking of anyone other than himself. He abandoned his family to deal with the mess regardless of his guilt or innocence. Then again what if was guilty and there was more than just this one girl?

Bottom line is this type of suicide is generally a selfish act regardless of how the individual might justify his act to himself before taking his life.

Food for thought: Had he been innocent he certainly had the support system in place around him for a ‘Christian Martyr’.....which therefore I tend to say there was some guilt he was unwilling to face and so "escaped".

A good, accessible book on eternal security is at that link I made:

Since you quoted it, I had expected you to explain it yourself, instead of sending me to a link.

Your statements are rejected because you are not informed well enough to comment about Dr. Tom White.

I said: You do not know what you’re talking about. Please investigate Voice of the Martyrs. There’s more to this work than just making cartoons, as someone insinuated earlier on this thread.

The child was ten years old. Do you also withhold judgment of Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Dahmer and Gacy. Or is it just pedophiles? Or just folks who's religious beliefs are similar to yours?

I can ‘forgive’ any of the above - that's a spiritual response. But do I condemn the above? You bet your bootie I do... Serial killers belong in prison - or on death row. Men who molest 10 year olds belong in prison...

From what I understand the child was ten years old. Do you also withhold judgment of Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Dahmer and Gacy. Or is it just pedophiles? Or just folks who's religious beliefs are similar to yours?

It appears he used his position of trust to take advantage of an innocent. That's unacceptable. I don't care what he did that was 'good'. Tell me something - If a man donates a million dollars to a worthwhile charity, does that give him the right to 'get away' with killing his wife? Is there some kind of 'trade off' that you know about that I don't know about?

People are flawed - we're all sinners.

But while we're here we also have to render unto Caesar... I doubt this man would have gotten the death penalty for molesting a ten year old, but he would have lost many of his worldly powers, wealth and position. Maybe losing everything was part of his spiritual path. A path he was too much of a coward to take. True repentance starts when the laws of remorse are restored in our souls... He needed to come to terms with the harm he had done, ask forgiveness and pay the price for his sin. He didn't do that. He took the cowards way out.

I had just received this news last night and pulled the trigger on a post I should have deleted.

My rejection of what you said is based on your presumption of guilt of this man, whom you obviously do not know.

There is so much more to this story; my radar has gone off. Some observers are theorizing he may not have died. Voice of the Martyrs reaches into governments around the world to do their work. This has to do with much more than what’s been reported. And I do not believe TW was a sexual predator.

My 'presumption of guilt' is based on the reality that people don't kill themselves over false accusations. By choosing death over a court of law, he made the declaration of his guilt... I just observed it.

...famous remark by his fellow physicist Steven Weinberg that "With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil—that takes religion."[44] Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: "And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion." The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners. Jesus made that very clear. When the Pharisees asked his disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" he said, "I come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." Only a small fraction of sinners repent and do good things but only a small fraction of good people are led by their religion to do bad things.

From wikipedia - on Dyson... thought you would enjoy.
