"NOAA law enforcement collected close to $100,000,000 in fines and seized goods from fishermen over the past several years. The Department of Commerce IG investigated and found that only about $60M could be accounted for, while some $40M is just plain gone. This is not taxpayer money, but money taken in huge chunks from fishermen for infractions, some very minor. Claims by the fishermen of coercion and extortion were validated by the IG."

Check out th elinks in this article. This is a much bigger story...

NOAA is one of the U.S.’s seven uniformed services. Can she be court-martialed?

“Stand up, Chuck.”

Our House and Senate are essentially worthless institutions. And our Supreme Court is about to determine whether there’s a scintilla of credibility left in it. We indeed are headed into very rough times, even if we could have a conservative President for which those odds are essentially 0 anyway.

My wife and I are now grandparents. God knows what kind of country our grandaughter will grow up in.

My mom used to say, “To destroy is so easy. To build so hard.”

Wow, was she ever right.

In looking up Dr. Jane Lubchenco I discover yet another Obama administration leftist academic with no real world background in the realm she serves. I doubt she’s ever even held a fishing pole. But all jokes aside, she needs to cough up the $40,000,000. Likely, too, that her department’s behavior will cost some votes in Massachusetts.
