Newt Gingrich plans to formally suspend or end his presidential campaign next Tuesday, senior Gingrich aides told Fox News.

Fox and the boys win. All they had to do is start ignoring him and suddenly it wasn’t fun anymore.
No one will notice...
That’s too bad. Make him press spokeman, Mitt!!
Why would “senior Gingrich aides” tell anyone this right now, and why would they tell his enemy FOX News??
I didnt notice and its not even next Tuesday
So the convention must be next week eh...so much for in-it-till-the convention
Maybe he got that job at his “friend” CNN
Marvelous. Now it will be a choice between original Obama or the mormon version.
Oh you'll notice all right. You'll have 4 years to bitch about what a disappointment President Romney is. That assumes he can beat Obama which is doubtful.
All those delegates he won yesterday were just too heavy a burden.
The moment Newt endorses Romney is the moment I stop supporting the former Speaker in any way, shape or form.
Of course, he won’t need my help in paying off his campaign debt if he endorses Romney.
Tuesday night may be the right time to crank up the “Write In Sarah Palin” campaign.
gotta make one more round of the Sunday shows, eh, Newt??
Consider the Biased Source (FOX-Bain News).
I’m voting for Goode.
Rational Conservatism vs All-or-Nothing Conservatism... one lives to fight another day, the other packs their bags and harrumphs all the way home, can you guess which is which?
You realize she is going to endorse, support and campaign for Romney too right? Are you going to throw Palin under the bus when she is out stumping for Willard?
At least he held out until Santorum quit running. That was the important thing...
What a jackass!
Yours is a nothing post.
Something tells me this isn’t going to go over too well >_>
ALso, I’m glad I did not donate to him.
The money I donated to Hermain Cain was the last money I’ll ever donate to any politician ever.
I’m keeping my funds for The Fall, something tells me bread is going to be damn expensive soon...
Jackass = Santorum.
Cain first endorsed Newt then suddenly switched to endorsing Romney.
Oh but what money well spent!!!
Or more precisely: DamnMitt.
Defending a liberal Republican is worse, by far, than attacking a liberal Democrat. The conservative movement will be partly neutralized and the socialist decline will advance.
The Charlotte Bobcats have a better chance at winning the NBA Title, than Mitt does of beating Obama.
Newt on Tuesday:
“Though my campaign is as of today suspended, I will continue to keep up the fight to defeat Barack Obama, repeal Obamacare and fight for Republican and conservative values with bold ideas and initiatives. As of now, I believe the best way to do this is to endorse the frontrunner, Mi..
“TO HELL WITH THAT! I CAN’T AND WON’T SAY THOSE WORDS! YOU’RE ON YOUR OWN, MITT!!”
Did Newt have a chance? No. So don’t give me that noise.
If he would have pulled out when it was clear he couldn’t win, and he had thrown his support behind Santorum, the momentum may have made it possible for Santorum to beat Romney.
No Newt couldn’t do that. He was in it until the end.
Did he help the party? No. We wind up with Romney, just like many of us said we would, when we urged Newt to pull out.
He refused and said he’d run all the way to the Convention. We laughed. We knew it was over. Only Newt refused to face reality.
Now what a fine mess we have.
What is the rationale for waiting until Tuesday?
If he had done this a month or two ago, we’d have had a shot at Santorum instead of Romney. Gingrich was never going to win the nomination.
Would you prefer your government paid abortifacients in our classic ‘Massachusetts White and Delightsome’ or our new ‘Red Velvet Mocha’?
I'll believe when I hear straight from the Newt's mouth. I suspect these “sources” are a lot closer to Romney that anybody.
You mean, "Tom and Jerry"
“Tuesday night may be the right time to crank up the Write In Sarah Palin campaign.”
Don’t do that to her. If they have to destroy her utterly to prevent any obstacles to Bishop Willard they will do so.
Money well spent it was not. So, so far from money well spent...
Thus the new policy - not one cent to politicians, I’m keepin’ my dough! I’d rather spend it on delicious popcorn!
If its nothing, why respond?
Well, there goes my primary vote.
Couldn’t your logic be switched, if Santorum had thrown his support to Newt last night’s results may have different?
For goodness’ sake, these candidates make decisions that are right for them based on the information they have at the time. Santorum did not want to endorse anyone last week. I believe it was to get the result in PA that he got last night-—even without actively campaigning he came in second. Know what? Even though I am a Newt supporter, I say, good for him. You play with the cards you’re dealt.
Please stop harping on Newt. Realistically, none of these people had a chance a year ago. Instead, look at what they’ve accomplished. The social conservative message was highlighted thanks the Rick. Energy issues are front and center thanks to Gingrich. Even whacky Paul has brought debt and the Federal reserve to the table. Without these guys Romney would have been blathering his mush speech after speech.
Santorum claimed to be in it all the way, too.
He said they would have to add rooms on the WH to accommodate his large family.
He never let on that PA was going to be his waterloo.
That was a fact, unless he could overwhelm Romney enough to win that politically odd and tough state, without going deeply into debt just to try, with no guarantee of winning.
And it was fact that he could not ABIDE losing that state AGAIN, nor AFFORD to fight Romney for it.
He KNEW it.
His minions didn’t know it.
You will pretend not to know it, but I have no reason to pretend.
One more thing...he also KNEW that his delegate performance was poor, relative to his popular votes and his votes in caucus states.
Romney and Paul clean up in delegates.
Santorum WON the state of MO, but he will come away with only 7 of its 52 delegates, and ultimately even those pitiful few will support Romney.
This is just one example of many, that he had to know as this campaign unfolded.
That his minions never did understand.
And he didn’t clue them in, and he hurt Newt every second he stayed in on the power mainly of Evangelicals and radio talk show hosts.
Meanwhile, PA was a drop dead date.
He understood, even if his minions didn’t.
That’s why I played around with your “jackass” perjoritive directed at Newt, but you had Santorum in the same post and I thought, let’s reorder the words and get this RIGHT.
I agree, Chris.
No more donations to politicians.
I donated the most to Santorum..but also to Cain and Newt along the way.
What a waste(not Santorum: the rest).
I remember back in ‘08, I gave Fred Thompson $100 and he suspended his campaign the next day.
Like Obama can’t stop talking about Bush, maybe it’s time for you to stop talking about Santorum, tx. It’s really getting old, and not very interesting.
The GOP has now lurched to the left of the 1960 Democrat party.
It was, until Doughty One called Newt a jackass.
For waiting til Santorum quit, to quit.
A little histoire, as Rush would say,
doesn’t hurt at times like that.
You should be happy, the old man who wasn’t young and cute like Rick...never quite saw that, but oh well...is also going out.
You and your women’s GOP group can celebrate.
GYAAAHHH Fred Thompson!
Yep, MM, I’m keeping that money! These fools can get their a$$es handed to ‘em just as well without my funds.
And don’t forget to go to his post where he called him that, and write “LOL, Dought”.
How’s that brokered Convention looking now txrangerette?
LMAO... Newt’s about as popular as a pasture pattie about now.
