I would love to see Newt named as Secretary of Education - the last Secretary of Education, that is, selected to preside over the decommissioning of that odious Federal department that neither educates nor enlightens, with Newt overseeing the return of programs back to the states and power back to parents and communities, where it belongs.

And I'd like to see Sarah Palin as Secretary of Energy - for the same reason and result.

Yep, and Santorum still topped Noot in the voting. Face it Newt was a terrible candidate from the get go.

I agree.

Despite this, I have said for years that Newt can deliver a real stem-winder of a presentation. Some of his presentations are the best I’ve ever seen. I still haven’t seen that translated to success. His actions in the House are vastly overstated, and his own members turned on him causing him to resign. And that wasn’t because he was too Conservative either.

Look at his debate strategy this year. Everything was fine when he was looking like he was winning the debates. When folks finally tired of him acting petulant for the populist clingers, he stooped to demanding his people be able to clap after each of his comments. Talk about a guy running on empty.

If Newt made the ballot you will still be able to vote for him in California or Texas. Santorum's campaign has been suspended for awhile now and he still beat Newt in Pennsylvania last night.

If Santorum would've dropped out one day earlier he would've been removed from the Pennsylvania ballot. Once they drop out I believe they generally are removed from upcoming ballots if there's enough time.

There’s nothing remotely rational about the ABO crowd.

We're in good company at least, the ABO side includes Palin, Bachmann, Cain, Santorum and Newt, who does the "I won't vote for Romney crowd" have on their side? regressive wackos and socialists. I prefer the ABO crowd.

They rarely drop out, they just suspend the campaign (mostly so they can continue to fund raise and pay off debt). I am not sure how they get removed from the ballot for just saying they are suspending the campaign. They've paid the fees to get on the ballot after all. I'm not an expert on state election law though.

Freepers are going to have to face the music and either vote for Mitt or vote for Obama.

No, I don't. I intend to campaign against both, and I will vote for a conservative.

At least he held out until Santorum quit running. That was the important thing...

What a jackass!

Yep. He should hang his own Mission Accomplished sign.

Yes he should, but failing that, I think it’s already hung for most people. If he does drop out and endorse Romney, he’s going to look like the consummate fool.

Riiiight. We’re regressive wackos. That makes perfect sense. At least we aren’t supporting a liberal Marxist who wrote the frame work for Obamacare.

Agreed.

A) A Romney President doing the same things as Obama would divide the party and FAUX news would be saying “oh those troublesome Tea Partiers” every day.

B) An Obama Presidency would unite everyone against him.

I choose “B” for the good of us all. God Help Us !

Another way to look at it:

A) A Marxist, abortionist, homo-agenda-coddling, big government, open borders, socialized medicine, who doesn't give a s*** about our country or the Constitution as president + a Congress mostly resisting his agenda, and a chance for a true Conservative/Constitution-abiding president in 2016...

or

B) A Marxist, abortionist, homo-agenda-coddling, big government, open borders, socialized medicine, who doesn't give a s*** about our country or the Constitution as president + a Congress mostly enabling his agenda, and no chance for a true Conservative/Constitution-abiding president in your lifetime.
